C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands
It may not exactly be this path because it depends where you installed steam. But this is the idea. Find the folder and check if there is an uninstall exe or something. Else, I bet just deleting folder should do the work. It's not longer in your library for real and you didnt uninstalled? I uninstalled it but maybe it was before they removed the game.
You could also try the "Programs and features" from Windows' control panel.
Except I did just that. First I tried installing via Windows, it kept directing me back to Steam where nothing would happen.
Then I deleted the game folder manually and now I'm stuck with the game still in my "Installed programs" in Windows.
Could you check in your registry if it's still here (RUN ==> Regedit). maybe it's reason Windows still believe it's here.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ==> SOFTWARE ==> Wow6432Node ==> Ubisoft
There was no uninstall.exe or similar, so I deleted the folder.
Read about it in another thread now though and used CCLeaner to delete it from the list of installed programs along with it's registry entry, so I hope that's that now. At least it's gone from my Installed Programs now.
Uplay uninstall bounces me to Steam interface, nothing else.
CtrlPanel Uninstall bounces me to Steam interface, nothing else.
Reconsidering buying it. Yes I know of the registry and other BS to cleanse it, even my drive image, but this should be a simple, clean uninstall for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beta.
It's dumb but well, you wont have choice to use a cleaner if you want to remove it properly. :(
It's the first time this happened to me with a Beta on Steam though, so I blame Ubisoft.
Yeah this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. And I do have a choice other than downloading some other software to install (I keep my system clean which is why ♥♥♥♥ ALWAYS runs on my machine). Re-imaging. This is exactly why I image.
12 year old cockbags gonna cockbag.
I may just end up deleting the directory, but I know that's going to leave a mess. My brother didn't encounter this issue; he was able to uninstall directly through steam as the beta wasn't removed from his library after the beta concluded like mine was. Seems silly to remove it from the library when it is still installed locally.
