FIXED: How Do You Uninstall the Beta After Steam Removes It From Your Games List?
Yeah, I can delete the games folder but I want a full uninstall including taking it out of add/remove programs.

UPDATE: They fixed it. Now when you choose to uninstall from control panel/programs, it actually works.

Same problem here. Deleted the folder, but can't get it out of my installed programs... thanks, Ubisoft!

You can find the folder here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands

It may not exactly be this path because it depends where you installed steam. But this is the idea. Find the folder and check if there is an uninstall exe or something. Else, I bet just deleting folder should do the work. It's not longer in your library for real and you didnt uninstalled? I uninstalled it but maybe it was before they removed the game.

You could also try the "Programs and features" from Windows' control panel.

Except I did just that. First I tried installing via Windows, it kept directing me back to Steam where nothing would happen.
Then I deleted the game folder manually and now I'm stuck with the game still in my "Installed programs" in Windows.

No uninstall exe in the directory?

Could you check in your registry if it's still here (RUN ==> Regedit). maybe it's reason Windows still believe it's here.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ==> SOFTWARE ==> Wow6432Node ==> Ubisoft

There was no uninstall.exe or similar, so I deleted the folder.
Read about it in another thread now though and used CCLeaner to delete it from the list of installed programs along with it's registry entry, so I hope that's that now. At least it's gone from my Installed Programs now.

No uninstall exe
Uplay uninstall bounces me to Steam interface, nothing else.
CtrlPanel Uninstall bounces me to Steam interface, nothing else.

Reconsidering buying it. Yes I know of the registry and other BS to cleanse it, even my drive image, but this should be a simple, clean uninstall for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beta.

Honestly, it shouldn't be removed from your library until it's uninstalled. UPlay at least never remove the Beta from your game list. It's still here but ask you to buy the game in order to play so you can freely uninstalled if you never did it.
It's dumb but well, you wont have choice to use a cleaner if you want to remove it properly. :(

It's the first time this happened to me with a Beta on Steam though, so I blame Ubisoft.

Haters gonna hate. You dont even know if it's Ubisoft that decided to remove it so quickly. It could be Steam.

Yeah this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. And I do have a choice other than downloading some other software to install (I keep my system clean which is why ♥♥♥♥ ALWAYS runs on my machine). Re-imaging. This is exactly why I image.

Having the same issue. Windows programs and features will load steam to initiate a standard steam uninstall, then does nothing. Uplay uninstall opens Windows programs and features...

I may just end up deleting the directory, but I know that's going to leave a mess. My brother didn't encounter this issue; he was able to uninstall directly through steam as the beta wasn't removed from his library after the beta concluded like mine was. Seems silly to remove it from the library when it is still installed locally.

And remember kids, those apps that 'clean' stuff out never, ever return it to the same. Imaging is your best option. Otherwise, your registry just gets larger and sloppier, like your......
