Will you be able to mod this game ?
I think if you let the modding community take a crack at this game you would have quite the gem. I mean it's almost there in some regards , just need a little smarter AI that don't zerg attack you as if that would be smart and add a even higher difficulty level and you might have a really great game. So will we be able to mod this?

Don't count on it.
Have you seen any Ubisoft game with mods ?
And especially with added EasyAntiCheat, modding will be not possible at all .

Yeah I know just wishful thinking on my part. Some really awesome mods and this could be a awesome game ...wow could you imagaine ARMA 3 level ai and difficulty with this game ...that would be worth more than 60 bucks. Don't think we will ever see that ..but just a shame that these game companies just don't get it. Spend millions of dollars on games , have a beta and then don't listen to your customers =priceless or just stupid
this is a ubisoft game. modding wont fly. sorry!
ubi want to sell their shiny sparkle dlc's,so no.
yeah I wish Ubi could open their games just like Bioware. They don't see the potential of mods which can attract more people to buy the games NOT for their dlc but for their mods support.

You're probably right. Still, doesn't hurt to try and raise some attention to the subject.

Maybe someday they will change their stance towards modding, but that is certainly not gonna happen if people don't ask for it.
Yes, you can. However, only wallhacks, aimbots and other boring ♥♥♥♥ is possible that will end you up banned.

I doubt there will be a mod support available, but it'd be nice if there was a map editor similar to Far Cry 3/4 with workshop support (dunno how that would work).

Ubisoft will NEVER allow the Modding Community to mod Wildlands, and few of the other games they distribute, for a very simple reason. GREED. How's that, you ask?

MOD's allow gamers to continue playing the SAME game until they eventually get bored, the servers are shut down (a few game developer names spring to mind) or the mods and/or the game are no longer supported.

This means that the Modding Community is keeping the player busy playing older titles. Whereas the Developers or (and more likely) the DISTRIBUTORS want the player buying the newest titles instead.
It's simple economics really. Finish a game today and buy a new one tomorrow.

Just to drive the point home, take a look at all the titles release pre Y2K.
When $5 - $40 bought you between 2-15 hours of gameplay and you've probably played them over and over. Games like Duke Nukem 3D, Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter, Daikatana, Star Wars Dark Trooper, DOOM and all its spinoffs.

Compare that to now, where $90 - $130 get you 2-4 Hours with zero replayability . Sure, the graphics are prettier now, but the game playing hours have dropped while the price has increased. Why?

GREED - GREED - GREED I don't mind a fair thing, but when is enough enough?
(All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars) Please - No TROLLS.

Would creation tools like the Far Cry editor count as modding? Because that's official modding. I don't know why they decided not to do this for this game considering they did it for Farcry 2, 3, AND 4. This game seemed right up the ally and would make a perfect fit, especially since it's 4 player co-op.

Never thought that Daikatana would ever be brought up as an example of good game design and replayability :D
@SeeN - Out of all that, all you got was "...Diakatana"? ROFLMAO :)

YOU DONT EVEN HAVE WILDLANDS...
There is at least 70 hours of playable stuff in this game. and even after that you can continue on and make your guy better, play with freinds for coop, an there is a multiplayer.

thats a lot of replayability.

You forgot in you post Mod's can cause problems in a game crash bugs etc and who will get blamed?
Ubisoft! so i dont blame them for 0 mods.
And like said the game doesnt really need mods theres plenty to do and see.
I've been modding for over 20 years on dozens of engines ~ waaaay too much trouble for the payoff...of which there is none.
