Pricing on Steam is much higher than Ubisoft
If you got to uPLay the DELUXE version of this game is £39.99, same on Humble Bundle, and the GOLD is £64.99
On Steam the Deluxe is £54.99 and the GOLD is £69,99

now an extra fiver isn't too bad, but the price on Deluxe is crazy - Why?

If it was the same price on Steam I would pre-order it now but not gonna get ripped off :/

It is probably to encourage people to purchase from UPlay. Valve receives 30% of all purchases made through Steam. I can completely understand why Ubisoft is trying to lure people over.

This happens all the time. Ubi has a reputation for wanting people to play their games their way. They only publish to resellers like steam to capture the player base because they know they can't ignore it.

Uplay is often incentivized.

Another tip: if you purchase Uplay you may not be able to purchase DLC / season pass from Steam. That's how it works with Siege.

That's the price for having the game all in 1 steam library.

I don't really care about having a Steam key what the hell does it matter. If I can get a discount elsewhere and it's a UPlay key that's what I do. That's what I did for For Honor.

You can launch any game form Steam (just add it maually, which is what I have done for all my uPlay and Origin games.

The point of my post was to make you guys aware that the prices are hiked, much more on the Deluxe edition.

CursedPanther Feb 25, 2017 @ 9:17am
Just get it where it's cheaper for you. For me the price on Steam is lower.
skpManiac Feb 25, 2017 @ 11:54am
wow, thats really crazy guys

Steam and uPLay - normal game = £39.99
Deluxe Edition: Steam £54.99 - uPlay £39.99 (same as basic game)
Gold Edition: Steam £69.99 - uPlay £64.99

So the biggest difference is on the Deluxe Edition - and it's a big price jump, a few quid I dont mind but £15 is crazy :/
