I just saw an item in ghillie suits called El Yeti that ask to unlock it to kill 'El Yeti' and look at his body.

When I looked on the internet it really seemed to be an april fool joke... Please don't troll, april is nearly over yet. ^^ Is there anything real here ? Is this item unlockable by any way ? Is this a fabulous joke ?..

I found this article[pvplive.net] that just seems to be trollfeed as the bug is not reproducible and status "confirmed" with so few elements...

But I want to believe it to be coherent. So I guess we will all wait Week 6 challenge. If it is, by the way, I don't really understand how it can be connected with that Unidad scenario but I don't really care.

There is a sniper called "El Yeti" in the lower left corner of the map. There is a process to get him going after you. Google "finding el yeti" just got my ghille unlocked today. Here's the link I used. Good luck!

I just got El Yeti. Bewarned though, good sniper rifle, and the ability to hit range of, or above 300m are required.

Ok, this is aka a easter egg, spiler there yeti is real but its a person useing that ghilie suit, when you kill him he as the strongest sniper, you loot his ded body and you get it, i already got the suit

He looks like a buchone who was not important enough to deserve a scripted quest chain. (or not yet ?) Mystery solved and item unlocked at least !
Does anyone know where has gone the face paint of El Yeti ?

--I want to confirm that the Yeti is real./ I have taken great pains to find the coordinates, track down the locations, and confirm the intelligence./ And I wish to share it with you, so you can earn the prizes while it is available./
--First, there are 5 clue sites. I will provide coordinates rounded to nearest hundredth, but as for the actual clue, you will have to find it yourself.
1. Probably the hardest, as you will need to use a drone or scale down from the summit to find the clue./ Coordinates: -20.55, -65.88
2. Coordinates: -20.42, -66.35
3. Coordinates: -20.66, -65.40
4. Coordinates: -20.80, -64.62
5. Very close to the game map edge; don't step too far./ Coordinates: -19.36, -66.79
--After this, you will need to find the summoning point./ For the super nerd, the previous clues can be pieced together to point to this location, but it can be difficult to track./ Coordinates: -19.7410, -66.6622
--The rewards occur after you examine the defeated Yeti. You earn:
1. Pants El Yeti
2. Guillie Suit El Yeti
3. Community Reward is the Yeti Patch, found in Animal catergory, #43.

From what I could gather, El Yeti is the combination of an area that was in game but never implemented and rumors as to what killed the people at the location. The whole thing seems to have started as a joke and myth then kind of turned real by the devs who read the forums. El Yeti is in fact real. Hes a sniper type goon that spawns in a random location one of three places. He spawns after you interact with a clue area. Good luck.

--I took the liberty of revisiting the summoning point, after posting the FIRST part of the post./ I did summon the beast again, and it was in a secondary location./ Now, I also tried to perform the Team Force Task, and it is possible--ONLY with an Armored SUV; the Yeti will smash every single pane of glass, and you will need excellent all-terrain driving skills./ Even with the armor plating, it can still kill you./ After killing that Yeti, I went back to the summoning point in that same life, but the summons was not there./ I gave the site a wide berth, flying north to the "Refugio de Pastores" site and circled back around, and it reappeared, with a new Yeti to hunt./ And while I have not tested it, I suspect that it regenerates after every "Killed in Action" sequence./
