WW2 weapons?
hey PS4 player here!

im just wondering what your thoughts are on this. i know there is two weapons the bren and luger

but i would honestly like a M1 Garand Sniper or a Kar98k. just imagine how cool that would be. whats the thoughts these things could come in as a future store DLC

Old school Ghosts! While I'm unaware of any current plans on bringing these into the game, this is a cool suggestion nonetheless, King of Games :)

The only problem is only an extremely limited number of WW2 weapons are silenced. While blasting through stuff carrying a Thompson SMG equipped with a 50-round drum mag is hilarious, it doesn't really suit the GR theme.

I like Winshester (stampede) very much but yeah... as CursedPanther said... none of those weapons can be played with suppressor sadly..

Neither does a flintlock pistol yet UBI still put it in the game. lol

Is it part of the new DLC? No wonder people hate it.

Nah the flintlock came a few weeks ago-ish with the assassins creed outfit. Supposed to be black flag weapons.
If they do make a WW2 pack, it should have an FG42. An old rare elite hard hittingweapon made for elite hard hitting troops (fallshirmjager paratropps/green devils), good enough for the ghosts and government work lol.

Right, so it's added as a customer loyalty thing rather than game balance.

Actually guys the M1 Garand AND the Kar98k had silencers! (suprise suprise!)

also they could both be zeroed into the 2000m range so they can definitely be used for long range

Although the point is will they be any different from the current rifles with a different skin? I mean most people want a M1 Garand in their FPS is becuz of the iconic clip ejecting 'ping' sound. But IIRC the Garand sniper version was forced to reload round by round due to the scope mounting.

So at the end it wouldn't matter if it's the Springfield, Lee-Enfield or Mosin-Nagant, the Garand only stands out as being a semi-auto rifle which we already have in the game. What I wouldn't mind having is a modernized SKS though.

This is why wildlands could use a modders base. Then people interested in this stuff can have it without affecting the people that don't. I play a few multiplayer games with mod support. The way it works is if you join a modded game, you'll be asked to download those mods. If you want to keep it vanilla you just join an unmodded game. Both perspectives would be happy in the end.

Would kill the ingame store though.. and UBI aint havin none of that.

i dont see the problem with adding in weapons as store only DLC? also there is no PVP so i dont know what you mean by affecting. lots of us like to use iconic weapons and im really not a big fan of these modern weapon designs full of jagged edges. i prefer good old wood stocks. and WW2 rifles were both beautiful and deadly. and if you want uniqueness how about the lee enfield? that could load 10 rounds and fired 30 a minute faster then lots of modern actions.

or the Type 38 Arisaka? that gun had the strongest bolt action ever made.
Or the Mannilicher m1895 straight pull bolt and very fast firing.

if you dont know your gun history of course they would all seem the same

No reason to get all hostile with me and insult my weapons knowledge. i'm just throwing suggestions out there. What i meant about weapons affecting people was more along the lines of people who prefer to keep the era of the weapons in their game modern. The ones who feel immersiveness would break if they saw WW1 weapons in their game is all. Wasn't meant to apply to just you.i know people like to get defensive on steam but i'm just talkin to you man. chill.

well i did say store DLC. and they already have plenty of not modern weapons on that. so not only would it not hurt to include these but it would also be very profitable because i know for a fact people will throw money at a scoped Kar98k or M1 Garand
