Framerate bad even with a 1080 Ti???

So, yeah. I'm holding my cool, but here we go:

1080p Ultra: Avg 50 fps.
1440p Ultra: Avg 37 fps.
4k Ultra No AA: right around 40??

And this is my rig:

CPU: i7 7700K
GPU: in the title, Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 Ti OC
PSU: XFX 1050w
2 SSD, one for gaming, one for OS.
32GB DDR4 Vengeance RAM.

Anybody else seeing the same bad performance from such a card? What are you guys experiencing?? Thanks ahead of time and let me know if you found any fixes!

Got a GTX 1080 with an i5-7500 and I'm getting 43 fps on very high..... I don't think that's normal for a game like this.

Not normal OP. I have the similar setup.

i7-7700k @5.1ghz, EVGA 1080ti FTW3 @ 2050mhz, 32gbs@3000mhz, 1tb SSD = 75-95fps @ ultra settings - every box is checked besides motion blur.


You should be getting more FPS then that.

You need to do a competely fresh installation of all video drivers. Simply checking the "clean install" button on nvidia control panel is not enough. You need to manually delete all video drivers then do a fresh install.

If your not computer savvy, simply wipe the drive and start from scratch.

Something wrong man. Same thing i said to the last guy.

Do a fresh driver installation. A real one. Manually. Doing a clean install through Nvidia Experience isn't enough.

I have gtx 1080 palit gamerock 98fps to 100fps at 144hz 1080p.
i5 6600k oc 4.6 ghz. 16gigs hyper x ram ddr4 2400mhz
game settings very high . 1080ti would be about 25/30 fps percent more.

I deleted my drivers and reinstalled them and it improved slightly. I can now get above 60fps at 1080p but at ultra its playing at around 65fps. I'm not sure but it should be better right?

Borderless window drops fps by 20-30 for me with a gtx 1080.

Ram: 16 GB Crucial - 2x8GB DDR4 2133MHz PC4-17000 CL15.

The game odd to be more optimized
its actually only using like 4 gb of ram from my 11 gb gpu

Going from fullscreen to borderless solved most performance issues for me. If you have vsync turned on, turn it off, it's broken in this game and makes it stutter. Just set framerate limit to 60.

Low performance is normal. It's an incredibly demanding game due to some poor optimization work.

Ignore the idiots in here claiming they're getting 100fps on ultra. That simply isn't true at any capacity. Even a titan Xp isn't pushing 100fps in this game.
