Is it worth getting the xgames gold edition

i wanna get into steep and want to know if xgames gold is a must or if i shouldn't bother buying and just go for the standard.

I think so. Especially so with everything on sale currently. If you pick that up then all you'll need is the Olympics DLC and then you'll have access to every event on every mountain (and every sport feature to switch between). X-Games & Olympics areas have the well made competition courses with lots of rails.

The base game has a few sections where they attempted to make courses with jumps and half pipes and a few terrain parks, but they didn't all fit well together. X-Games and DLC made very good ones.

Although do keep in mind there's a weird server bug that's causing havoc with the DLC's and cosmetics, but as long as you actually own them I'd like to think they get it fixed for us eventually :)

I'm sorry but I don't know exactly how the bug is affecting new sales of it. Some things are showing up but some are not. I am confident at least that if you get it now (during the sale) that it will (eventually) be fixed even if you can't see all of the events.

As far as I know it's mostly cosmetics that are missing from view, and not events on the mountains ... but I can't say that for full certainty, sorry.
