How to exit Mountain View?

Please someone help me. When I open Mountain View the only option to get out of it is to reset my whole run. If this how the game really is I want my money back now.

Can you explain a bit more what you mean by resetting your run? Do you mean that you're going to the mountain map after finishing an event, and then want to see where you're at, then continue downhill more freeriding?

Just taking a guess. Pressing 'Y' (assuming 360 controller) will bring you back to your current position when you opened the mountain view. Pressing 'B' will on the Mountain View will do some weird camera centering for reasons that I honestly am not sure why.

I've wondered about it too. Seems like the game registers where you started to ride and pausing the game/going to mountain view takes you back to where you started. As far as I'm aware of you need to stop entirely before you open the mountain view so your "run" restarts. It should be a way to not do this but I'm fairly new to the game.

EDIT: I found out that if you click on "Start here" at your position in mountain view, you don't have to go back to the beginning of your ride. At least somewhat of a work-around :P
