Can you explain a bit more what you mean by resetting your run? Do you mean that you're going to the mountain map after finishing an event, and then want to see where you're at, then continue downhill more freeriding?
Just taking a guess. Pressing 'Y' (assuming 360 controller) will bring you back to your current position when you opened the mountain view. Pressing 'B' will on the Mountain View will do some weird camera centering for reasons that I honestly am not sure why.
EDIT: I found out that if you click on "Start here" at your position in mountain view, you don't have to go back to the beginning of your ride. At least somewhat of a work-around :P
