Installing the game even creates a steep shortcut that directly opens uplay with no use of epic afterwards, for any opposed to using epic.
Will say tricks are fun.
But just general downhill steering/control side of it, is stiff and actually feels as if battling against an on-rails system.
kind of like playing bumper bowling or something, it bounces you around within padded "lanes" and just does not feel good.
Example: You need to hit the RB button (I think it is RB) to switch between sports. When I hold it down, the radial map comes up and disappears very quickly. When I need to change sports, I just use the keyboard, now. It is just getting to that point is really hard and frustrating for me. Curious to know if anyone else has this problem, so that I can pin-point whether or not I need a new controller, or if that is just how the game is.
I Got this on Epic for free during the Christmas sale. I, for the most part, get all the free games on Epic, as, imo, I am thinking that every free game that they give away, they probably pay the developer of said game a little bit of money. Right? Honestly, free is free, so, I have 53 (i just counted) free games on Epic and 61 games total and only 3 installed at this time (I know that the math doesn't add up, but, some are demos and dev-kits and editors that I accidentlly downloaded and can't find a way to get rid of). A few of the games I really wanted and while I dislike their "exclusives", I will take a free game when I get the opportunity. That is the value of Epic to me. Free games.
Just take what you can get from them (for free) and maybe buy a game here and there, if you really want it. I check it every Friday and get the free game and if it looks good, I will install it and play for a few minutes to see if I will like it and I have found a few games that I really like that I would never bought on Steam. Not because it is Steam or because it is on Epic, I just wouldn't risk paying the money for something that I wasn't sure about.
There were about 5-10 games that I had on my WL on Steam and was on the fence about and then saw that they were free on Epic, so, that was cool.
It does seem odd to me that a lot of the free ones are from Ubisoft....not sure why that is, though...
Just in case anyone is curious, the games I have bought:
The Sinking City, Detroit:Becoming Human, The Division 2 and Anno 1800.
I know...I am the problem with gaming today...please don't yell, I feel bad enough just buying a game on Epic w/o being scolded for it....sorry guys, I was weak....
Back to the game, though. I really like this game, I think it is a lot of fun! Kinda like a Tony Hawk snowboarding game, imo. It is fun to waste some time on and look at the pretty graphics, as oXiDe stated above. I just don't like the controls on the map. I also was thinking that this game had horrible reviews on Steam, but, when I look, that doesn't seem to be the case. Idk.
