Multiplayer: how does it work?

Im interested in playing something different and this caught my eye. Can somebody tell me how MP works. Thanks

When you load into the game, you're automatically put in a server. From what I've seen, it appears there is only 4 players per server you're in. There isn't 20+ players or anything like that (would be awesome if this is possible). You can teleport to any unlocked "Drop Zone" or challange, which helps you get around the world faster.

If there are any players in proximity, you can invite them to a group to play together (press and hold G if using a keyboard). You can have up to four friends in a group to explore and snowboard/ski.

There are a lot more players than 4. But its more of a proximity thing. If they are close to you they wil show. Im not sure of the limit. 4 is the group limit.
