Serious issues that NEED to be addressed
So I am finishing up my last set of gold medals and the Xtreme pack, and after spending about 75 hours on this game, and facing some of the more frustrating challenges, I feel like there are a bunch of issues that really bother me in Steep. I feel like if this could be addressed, the game would be a lot more fun.

- Ragdolls slide down mountains way too long now. Almost every time I fall I get to sit back and watch as my character endlessly slides down even the smallest slopes and often slam into rocks and walls. Instead of being able to get up relatively quickly and continue a race, falling is now instant restart.

- Jumping is inconstistent. There are challanges in the game with enormous jumps that I cannot for the life of me get down without endless trial and error. I look at replays of the top players and I see them pull off these huge jumps, but when I try that same jump 100 times I can't get close to that height once. Sometimes I press the jump button and my character does nothing, just awkwardly flies forward. If I tried to rotate, my character does so in slow motion. Sometimes I do a trick, stop in mid air, and my character just refuses to align with the ground and falls, for no reason. Just randomly.

- Falling and pointing your character in a new direction feels impossible and makes me think the game is messing with me. I point forward after a fall, and I go backward. Often I get stuck on little slopes and have to start over. I point right, and I go left and slam into a tree. And then get up and glitch and get launched by that same tree. And then I slide down the mountain. And die. What should be quick and easy feels like a challange on its own, and not a fun one.

- Oh god let me switch up the music. I don't want to hear that Mug Shot song again. Some challanges even put songs on a straight loop! No other solution but turn the sound off from time to time. How hard could it be to give is a simple playlist and some << >> controls?

- The camera has a bug where it refuses to center on your character and this messes up runs, especially wingsuit ones. I restart, jump, the camera is all the way to my right, and as I jump, it moves to the middle, often making me fall.

- The snow trail effect when you are riding look ugly as hell. Either remove it, allow us to disable it, or improve it.

- The stupid G-force meter and accompanying black and white screen SUCKS. It makes no sense and causes nothing but frustration. I hit a jump, I completely randomly either make it fine or go black/white, and if the latter happens, anything will instakill me. If I am going fast, slowing down can kill you and that screen never goes away. Any bump in the mountain will kill you. Any jump will kill you. It's basically an insta restart. Unless you are going slow or are able to slow down without risk. For some really fast gold medal challanges, this means its down to luck on how you land that big jump, which is not fun. The whole thing should be much more forgiving.

- Oh my god I hate the trees. They can be impossible to dodge at high speeds (no paths whatsoever for challanges or races), can be so thick you can't see anything in front of you in some areas, they can insta kill, they can get you stuck or tossed away again if you get up too close to one, and on top of it all, some challanges require you to race through a thousand of them at 100 miles per hour. Maybe its just me but to me those races feel like plain old luck. Maybe that's just the downside of open world vs designed tracks but come on, some of those races are insane. And I am complaining after getting gold on them...

- There's no feedback on the 'Group' button. I get invited, press the button, and have no idea if I did anything. That should easily be fixed.

- Grinding is completely broken. Grind one anything while going slow, rotate, jump and after a few jumps you'll fly up into the air, giving you ample time to do insane grab rotations and get medals easily. Maybe all of the good grinding implementataion is in the new Expansion, cause I haven't seen it yet. Aside from that awkward little town with the weird balconies, where else is it?

- Instantly dying while sliding over a rock is not fun, it's frustrating. Stop it.

I can't agree more, i am not going to play it anymore, i played something about 25 hours to finish all gold medals when the game came out, it was so terrifying sometimes, or more like a lot of times. Worst thing is that the character is stupid and as you said, it sometimes doesn't even jump or rotating slowly, or doing different trick, not even talking about that stupid g-force.

You posted this in 2017 and after 4 years they did not fixed any of the important game breaking things. But what to expect from ubisoft, the studio what just doesn't care about players, but only for money. Like what the hell are those new "Assassin's Creed" games????

hey, maybe learn how to actually do these sports before you complain, most of the complaints you have are actually things that happen in real life, I agree, it does take too long to get back up, but for jumps, if you can't get the timing right in real life, they will take marks off, and the air you get won't give you enough to do the tricks you want. I have experience from this since I had just started doing flips, on a real snowboard, and I just figured out how to find the perfect timing to flip. In real life, there is such thing as G-force, and most of the time, the G-force will actually force you to stop your run, and many times you can fall and get seriously injured from these jumps as well

I am also activate snowboarder for many years, and i am telling you, i never was so "tired" that i just fell off on the soft snow. The things that are in this game aren't bad, they are just not greatly set, many things could be easily fixed just by doing the settings right.
