Steep vs 1080 avalanche
Does 1080 avalanche ( gamecube/ Wii / Dolphin ) has better speed/snow feeling than steep ?

Eeeehhh. After this question I actually just tried that seeing as I own a GC copy. I prefer the feel of 1080 but it's a little too "tunel vision" imo. It came out around that time when games like Burnout we're all about shaking the camera and creating motion blur to translate speed. While Steep does this it saves it for stuff like flight suits and jet packs.

But, 1080 felt more controlled as a racer whereas Steep controlls like ass at high speeds and often ends in poor input response due to the "gforce" mechanics causing every little bump to give you control issue.

Steep is the better over all wintersport game.
1080 was the better snow racing experience. :coolthulhu:

And yeah, the snow was pretty damned good back then. Steep is great in sound design but it looks like I'm climbing through some weird putty.

I'll have to give that a shot some time. I've been meaning to get into Dolphin as I kind of want to downsize my Physical collection anyway.
