Can i play Steep with a ps4 controller !?

Some people say they can play with their ps4 controller and some say they can't !?
I bought this game to play it on chill modus with my ps4 controller because it look soo nice !
But when i want to start the game, the say it's only for steam controller. BUUUT there are option in the game for ps4 controller !? i really don't understand. even that the game is on all consoles, also on ps4.

Pls tell me you can play with a ps4 controller on steam... other wise i will probably refund it, and that will break my heart because I LOVE, snow/skie/snowboard/mountaints. and the game look so good...

Yeah what is going on? The xbox controller worked before but not now? The store page says "partial" controller support?

PS4 controller is fully supported, u just maybe need to disable the steam controller feature in the big picture mod.

when i start big picture mod and i go on Steep, it say's "this game is only suported with the steam controller"
And how could i disable the steam controller feature ? i can use my ps4 controller on other games, so why not on Steep ? :s

because few games are fully supported by ps4 controller so steam emulates a xbox controller.

Go in Big Picture mode > Steep section > manage game > controller options > untick use steam configuration for Non-steam controllers.
