Controller Vs Keyboard mouse ?

So.. for a long timee now I have been wondering about getting myself a controller, just because I heard that some games it's much better with controller and I can understand that. I played like 150+ hours rocket league, but I gave it up competitively because I could understand and see the progression of ppl using controller in that game. So... is this a game "must have controller" or is it actually best to play with keyboard and mouse?

Depends on the game bro. I tried to play Overwatch with a controller on pc and got destroyed :(. Im going to try Steep with both and ill let you know ;).

I'm playing on keyboard which is fine once you get used to it. However I've had previous experiences with SSX for example which proved a controller was way easier to handle. I haven't played steep with a controller though but I do think it will be a little bit easier with a controller.

i find it really nice with a controller I couldn't imagine doing all the tweaking without an analog stick but i hear its possible

Controller for Steep is defiantly the way to go. I need some friends who play with mics to make it more enjoyable though

Most games I would rather play on a Keyboard and mouse because they are way more precise so I dont even own a controller for my PC. I was worried this game would be hard to play on a keyboard and mouse but after some key remaping it feels great!

Okey thanks for all the answer - @-BMF- I kinda agree that you will be more accurate and have more control with mouse and keyboard, but some games is really optimized with a controller - f.example Rocket League ... And I also have a feeling it would be better to use controller on this game.

If or when I am gonna buy this game - Yes of I will choose myself, there is no one else that can force me to wich I have to use. Lol

If you're a PC gamer in 2017, you need a controller. Period.

Yes, some (many?) games are better with a mouse and keyboard, but some games are immeasurably better with a controller.

It's not like it's going to break to bank... a wired xbox 360 controller can be had for about $30 these days - which is a pittance compared to what most gamers on spending on their video cards alone.

I guess my point is - why wouldn't you want the option? Controller sucks in a particular game? Fine, switch to M/KB. M/KB not implemented properly due to a bad console port? NP - you have a controller. Everybody wins.

Too many people have this weird idea that controllers are solely for consoles and PC must always be KB/Mouse, oblivious to the fact the the PC platform used to have a huge range of controllers to choose from back in the late 90s, unlike now where it's pretty much just Xbox or Steam controllers. The game should dictate how it's controlled, not the platform on which it's being played.

Also, when did we stop calling them joypads?

+1 :) I agree - still dont have a controller yet, but I will get one for sure, for the games I need it to :)

Get yourself a controller. Worth it. For this game and a bunch of other types (some platformers, driving games, etc.)
