Question on devour

On the xbox controller, Is there any difference between holding the Y button and using RB+Y to use devour?

while fighting the aragami, using the Y button to charge devour give you 3 special bullets where as using the quick devour only gives you one. can't remember any differences beyond that

Y alone fills the burst bar more then RB+Y.

RB+Y seems to be just a quick devour. Gives you less burst (I think maybe half the gauge?) and only one arigami bullet. Holding Y gives you a full gauge and 3 bullets.
Doesn't affect obtaining materials from dead arigami though, so it saves time to just use the quick devour and move on.

Later on you'll be able to equip different styles of devouring to the those two controls. But at the beginning, doing a quick one will only give you half gauge worth of Burst as opposed to a charged one giving a full bar.
