Cant join stroy missions on multiplayer

Me and a close bud of mine are trying to play online but now we are at difficulty 2 nothing is working, this might get fixed after figureing it all out but Im losing my mind. Thanks for any assistance

if you want to solve the problem for this, try to advance to difficulty 3 or 4 then try again on online mode, also you may want to check connections between you guys?girls.

Welp, everything is fixed now, it was an story error, like i was one mission a head by accident thank you for the insight/advice

I played with my friend since mission 1 last night, just make sure the person who is behind hosts so he can choose the missions easier :D
