From my experience I used Soma and Lindow and just made them meatshields with a lot of aggro.
I know this sounds rather simple but just block a lot until there is an obvious opening. I don't use auto-block so I don't know how helpful this is. His pattterns become really obvious after fighting him 5 minutes in.
The most easiet opening is when he does the triple 3 wing attack as he roars for short while at the end, you can at most get 4 hits in as a Scythe user.
If your team mates die just leave them be, it isnt worth trying to res them.
If you die and respawn just spam the hell out of your bullets then go back to blocking.
Its a long blocking game, but I did beat him. I believe in ya
I gave all my AIs damage reduction and HP boosts along with their signature skills..
From experience Alisa and Sakyua are good examples of bad AI partner as they'll more likely die within minutes. Lindow is a good choice to bring here. He managed to survive before the final few blows. Healers are a good idea too. Keep your retry stock longer.
Can't say how well Kota stacks up against the other parnters you can choose, but Lindow and Soma are good choices.
Block when you must, even if you think you can survive, like when being underneth Airus during the icicle AoE attack. Block.Bring stun gernades and all assortment of healing items(both HP and OP).
you don't really need to worry about recipies its still doable without it. I used assault default bullets all throughout the story. Only now, during post game, have I actually started to dabble into it. Been using Silent Cry pretty much since I was given the recipe.
In the end I just crafted the lvl 13 tower shield that has divine defense, with my lvl 13 scythe and assault rifle managed to win. Shot him in the face/behind and sliced his rear every chance I got and he was dead before I knew it.
The tower sheild should block all his charge and projectile damage. Also helps to fill up on consumables before the boss.
The ai partners for this fight are pretty much agrro bait.
