That was confusing. It was something straight out of Upotte!! but that was a comedy.

What about all of the god eaters that are also infected? Did they talk to their weapons to? Are most of the weapons jackasses? If you could negotiate with your God Arc then Livie wouldn't have a job :/

Sharing memories and communicating by ressonating through Oracle Cells is a New Type trait. Even Lindow was able to talk to his own God Arc only through ressonating with the main character, so I guess Livie's job is fine.

Also the main character is different from everyone else as it is shown through the story. If it were Alissa to touch Lindow's Arc she would probably get the memories, but wouldn't have much chance to talk about them after she went through aragami transformation.

But I'm certain my arc is a jackass.

Sadly they dropped the ball with Livie. They could have let the main character of this game be the Livie and instead of being a tragic orphan they would be this person who has expeience with doing this.
