Dyaus Pita Fight (Difficulty 6 Mission) Advice?
Ummmm... the fight where you have to first fight a Dyaus Pita... I am having trouble with.

For the most part I can seemingly handle the Dyaus Pita itself, maybe dying a lot, but it's doable.

The problem comes from the fact a Prithvi Mata is there too, and if you wanted to deal with it so it can't help the Dyaus Pita, you only have 2 minutes to do so, and I can't kill it that quickly (or even drop it enough that it will blink on the minimap).

So... any advice?

I am noticing I am getting stuck more and more...

Switch to gun, you will have much easier fight.

Video reference go to min 48:30

The recipe for bullet used for the video above is shown at part 1 in the playlist.

I've been predominately making use of a gun, as much as possible.

It may be I need to upgrade my bullet, given i'm a novice at bullet editing. I'll give that one a try when I try again.

Edit: I think that bullet seriously helped . Since it helped, I am now going to give it my own name and take it as mine. ...What? I like customly naming things when I can.

Dot not follow the Prithvi. Make it follow you and keep it away from the Pyta field of vision. You can see where he is on the map anytime pressing start.

It is the most common mistake people make, following aragami to problematic places like narrow corridors and where other aragami are, instead of just stay put and wait for it to come back. Unless the operator says it is disengaging it will come back to you.

Now you can abandon those low costed bullets :)

Congrats btw

For the much easier way...

Hibari tells you to set up an ambush, so that's what you need to do.

Take your team to the far right side of the map and I mean the /very/ far right where you are away from the main battle field. Order your team to stay there. (Tab - Right click) and then by yourself, lure the Priviti where your team is, kill it and then collect yourselves and then kill the Pita.

With a small bit of luck (the Pita always goes left) you will be very safe there.

This fight almost completely took me out, I ended up using all my healing supplies. But the main plan is to keep them separated, which I didn't do and ended up having to spam stun grenades and rush down the Priviti.

There's a later fight kind of similar to this too. Just learn to keep them separated, check the map every once in a while and lure the Priviti away if Pita is walking towards you. Oh, and for killing Pita, make sure to block, it does insane amounts of damage and a lot of them are so large that you can't dodge step out of the way.

Any tips for melee fighters for this fight? aside for the exellent diversion tips that is, i will also look into that vid for the bullet info, even though i suck at shooting(bullets always go right between big type's legs...)

Btw, i found out that Snare traps don't work at all on Pita, something to remind for future fights.

Thx in advance!

Guard, there are more skills that are focused on guard while dodging has only like 2 of them. Seriously it is better to guard enemy attacks than dodge them as you will never be able to dodge everything while you can guard everything.

You can modify the bullet to "auto aim enemies", basically you just shoot and forget, no need to aim. Otherwise you can also lock-on to enemy as well and spam shoot button (assault and shotgun has this feature, the other two need skill "gun form lock on")

As for melee, the safest way would be using Sunder type weapon and attack his hind leg. Valiant Scythe preferred by most people since it has longer reach.

If you need reference, here's a video made by my friend featuring full melee Valiant Scythe against 2 Pita

(it was challenge level tho, so you might not able to get all the skills needed, but well, at least you get the idea)

That one is idd cool, but i also meant their bullet setup so i can also shoot like the one in this video, since editing bullets is a game on its own.

wel i beated pita with the mata joining but a big tip is to bring them in the big fields aka the center its more easy to dodge with a lot of room if your reaction time is pretty good but this applies to me only cause im using the short blades while fighting them, aside that the gun i used is assault type but heres a dirty trick since you only have alisa try making her pass bullets get a rapid fire against the mata and rapid divine against pita if youre out of ammo you can switch very fast to the normal rapid which apparently costs no op when shooting making it your regen bullet then switching again also try switching stuffs in your predator styles that might help you in the mission a bit further than that thats how i beated it BUT one thing is sure one of your ai would mostl likely end up being unable to stand the result of mine was sakuya since i didnt played with her that much resulting low survivability for her unlike the two since you always try to bring soma and alisa along with you anyways i hope this helps you and have fun :D
