Anyone getting weird shadow and light flickering?
Whenever I move sam or the camera, it's really jarring. The game is all over the place as a result in terms of the lighting. Played around with the settings nothing seems to affect it.

For instance I will even see shadows pop in and out in rapid succession, epilepsy style.

Playing at max everything running at 60fps using 4k down to 1080P DSR, however even with that disabled and at 1080P getting the same thing

Thank you :D

Try turning off LOD. I believe, if memory serves me well, that also effects the distance shadows are rendered. I might, MIGHT, be wrong on that

I have LOD off, I thought the same too, for me I had them off I thought maybe turning them back on? But neither made a difference. Thing is this is noticeable even right up to a wall! So not applicable only to distant things, it's everywhere!

Post a clip of it? I haven't experienced that at all playing it.
Nacery May 25, 2017 @ 1:49pm
Yeah, I have noticed it too and its jarring in the tutorial area and surfaces lit by high intensity direct lighting. I dont know but maybe it's a problem with projected shadows LOD or just how the engine handles the shadows. :/

Nacery what kind of graphics card are you using? I'm on a 980ti

Katcher, I don't know how to capture video footage from a game, any easy software I could use?
Katcher May 25, 2017 @ 2:01pm
Well there is OBS which is free though trying to get the bitrate settings right for a clear picture is a pain. If you have an Nvidia card that's a 660ti or higher you should have Nvidia Share as long as GeForce Experience is installed.

Looks like Z-fighting to me but even then I don't think it is. If it was I'd be experiencing it too along with many others. Sorry but I don't think I can help out there, I have no idea what the issue could be.
Nacery May 25, 2017 @ 2:34pm
Yep exactly the same. Just made a clip.

Yeah that's it! Could you please post your clip on the official thread wherte they're reporting bugs? You will find mine it's one of the latest posts maybe you could reference it that way they see more than one person is having the issue? Hopefully they'll find a fix?

Yes, i have the same! What a relief. Recorded some clips but compression really doesn't do it justice. Gonna upload in next 12 hours anyway. The effect is really hard on eyes. Hope there will be a fix.

You aren't alone! It's unplayable for me honestly, I hope they fix it soon!

I recorded it as well as i could. I used max settings in nvidia overlay but youtube compressed it pretty hard. It doesn't show the effect in full strength but it's noticable:

I've started having the issue, exactly the same as B1ackjack. I don't think it was happening at the beginning of the game, but now in certain areas, particularly when the sky is bright, it seems to get much worse. I'm going to try various combinations of settings in-game and in the Radeon Settings program, and see if anything changes. I'm hoping it's just a driver/post-proc issue or something that can be worked around.
