How are the newer DLC?

I'm somewhat fascinated by the fact how little discussion there is about this game.

A little over a year ago, three DLC were released: 2 characters (Yoko and Peropero) and "Walpurgis Edition" (new difficulty, practice mode, two new cards). Yet I found no news (the last news is from two and a half years ago) and no discussions about it.

I literally know nothing of the game. How are the DLC? Are the characters original ones? Do they have stories attached to them? Are they worth it?

it's over a year later, and there are still zero english reviews for these dlcs or any discussion surrounding them lol, quite weird considering the game is actually relatively popular. As far as indie shmups with anime girls on steam go anyways.
They're really cheap right now so I kinda wanna buy them, but I just bought the game 2 seconds ago and I don't even know if I like it yet.

Once you properly understand the gameplay mechanics, it becomes a lot more fun. Especially with momentarily letting go of the fire button to collect coins...then re-engaging it again.

But there are also other subtle nuances that can really help as well...it definitely pays to closely follow the tutorial for this game in the menu for those who are new to it.
