Any other good games/visual novels like this one?
I did a search, but could not find a similar topic. If there was one, I did not find it. Could be my fault or the rather minimal and ineffective Steam search function.

Anyway, This is quite the gem, imo. Still trying to complete every flow chart and get all the endings and what not. But when I do, I will be happy yet disappointed that the journey is over.

So, any other recommendations for a game/visual novel that is similar to The Letter? Doesn't have to be horror per se, but with multiple branches and a deal of mystery involved.

Steins Gate is similar in the large branching story way, but it deals more in science fiction.
If you don't mind a more linear story, I'd recommend Saya no Uta. It's horror of a lovecraftian sort with walls made of rotten flesh and themes of insanity, but it's also extremely sexually explicit in a way that not everyone is going to be okay with.

I've been enjoying One Day In London, though I'm not sure just how different the plot branches really are (I'm on my first playthrough).

It's an occult mystery. I wouldn't call it horror, even though it deals with stuff normally associated with the horror genre (demonlogy and such).

Steins;Gate is amazing and this is coming from someone who isn't too familiar with the visual novel genre like yourself. Your opinion of The Letter has me more intrigued to try it too. I am currently playing Danganronpa on PC which is also very good and the second Nonary Games game on the Vita. 999 (first of the Nonary Games) was excellent. My number one choice though would be Steins;Gate.

I second this one as well.

It also requires you to play it multiple times with different routes to get the full picture of the story, in an interesting way.

bit late to the party but if we're recommending visual novels I have to bring up Fata Morgana http://store.steampowered.com/app/303310
