Deaths

So two questions. Is it possible for every character to die? So far I have killed two off and I am curious if that was always going to happen or if there is an end game where everyone lives and one where everyone dies. Also, I saw in the TW that there is animal death, can someone spoil it for me and tell me which animal it is and how graphic it is. I am pretty sensitive with animal deaths...

I haven't played every route, but-
Spoilers, just in case... I've been able to save everyone and I've killed everyone off too. I think you can save/kill off almost everyone you play as in various combinations.

In regards to animal death, the only one I can recall... is a brief image of a cat during one of the flashback scenes- just sort of limp, not really gory or dwelled-upon. It's not a cat you meet during the course of the story, so it's not the one woman's pet you may have encountered- if people know more about this, I'd like to know too. Like I said, I haven't gotten everything yet and if there was something else, my brain glossed over it.

The only character deaths I can think of that isn't affected by your choices are Rose and another one near the end that I don't think you've seen yet.

The only animal death I can think of off the top of my head is the one described by Tellah but I should mention that under specific circumstances it appears that a character possessed by the ghost can cook a cat into a pie and serve it to another character, though in that case the animal's death happens off-screen and you just see meat and hairs in a pie - in slightly different circumstances this is also why the game has a cannibalism warning haha.

Holy crap that is dark. Thank you guys for the heads up but at least the animal cruelty is mostly off screen then. I was worried it woudl be Marianne's cat which would just be sad.

Humans getting killed by ghost = Meh typical
Some cat getting killed by ghost = OMG that is so sad and cruel ;_;

Of course Marianne's cat will be safe. We all know that in horror movies, it's always the protagonist's dog that dies first ;p

Spoilertekst All the main characters can be either saved or killed but other importent characters that cant be played and are not main characters like Rose,Kylie and Johannes die either way not matter what you do

Characters I've figured out how to kill so far:

Isabella - Choose to stay home instead of going to work. She'll either get hit by a car or die in her own flat.

Hannah - Though she can't die in her own chapter, choosing to open the cellar hatch the first time will lead her to become possessed later on. After this, you can burn her along with the mansion if you so choose.

Zachary - Choosing to investigate the scream rather than finding Ash will get Zach thrown into jail for trespassing, where the ghost will find him.

Marianne - Haven't figured out how to kill her yet. She always ends up trapped in the cellar and found by Ash in my playthoughs.

Rebecca - Choose to run upstairs instead of straight for the door. Rebecca will be cornered and forced to jump off the roof.

Ashton - If all your friends are dead, Ash will be caught by the butler and tortured to death. Guess I was wrong about this one.

Luke - Haven't killed him off yet.

you need to have a REALLY bad relationship with Luke in Hannah's chapter i am not gonna spoil how she dies but if you have a terrible relationship with Luke trust me you will die

Have a really bad realtionship with Luke and have Bella show the letter to Rose. Simple as that.
Also here are some more deaths:
Marianne - Have her either choose to stay with her dead friend or choose not to enter the opened door. Either one will cause her to die.
Ashton - Just choose to disarm luke. his only possible way to die.
Luke - Only way for him to die is to either have everyone die (With or without Hannah's possesion or death) which case he'll be trapped in a mirror. Or to get the True end where he burns with the mansion.

Don't know if you need more specifics, but I'm pretty sure Luke and Hannah's relationship needs to be at the minimum possible level. This is actually affected by Isabella's choice to show or not show the letter to Rose. You need to show the letter and make sure Hannah does not open the cellar door to make this all possible.
