Neither.
SPS and Ayano's VA ended their business relationships with the YandareSim developer because he was a predatory sleazeball. End of the relationship means the crossover ends and the character gets removed from the game, simple as that.
It's not an issue of "perception of the creator", its that the creator potentially took reprehensible actions, and that continuing to use their creation might be seen as tacit approval of such acts. It's less "Avoid his family" and more "Don't do business with them."
While I understand you might see this as an overreaction or unreasonable, such issue have sunk people in the past, so when running a business, it's often simply safer to take this option.
ayano also isnt a real person (which you literally said so yourself) so that relative analogy makes zero sense, she doesnt have free will, goals, or even an identity outside of yandere dev and his work- shes not a relative of yandere dev, shes influenced by her creator (wonder why shes wearing a middle school uniform at a high school and taking photos of her classmates underwear? or how she somehow has a senpai despite being 18 [get out of jail free card for being a creep towards a highschooler] which would make her a senior? and thus sometimes taking photos of her UNDERAGE classmates underwear?) in a way that makes her inseparable from the creators worldviews and consequentially what he did to make ayano get replaced in the first place
there would be zero reason to keep her in when not on speaking terms with her creator, thered be no way to profit off of her (with merch or just in app purchases to get outfits of her or special cgs easier) because yandere dev owns her
Yandev was recorded romantically grooming someone he knew was underage (she said so on the recording and he acknowledged it as a problem). This isn't just allegations. It's totally understandable that someone would want to totally distance themselves from such ick.
"I am firmly against cancel culture. May have to change my review for this game to negative."?
hahahaha i can't believe we live in a society where people unironically support yanderedev.
like literally i genuinely don't know what these people's cut off point for creators they support is. like how weird does a guy have to be for them to admit he's a weirdo?
regardless, how you can say this is just a case of "cancel culture" is baffling.
i'll be hopping on crush crush for the foreseeable future, don't know what these people's problems is. biggest self report ever is defending yanderedev imo.
ANYways, i don't much care for these 10 gem phone flings imho, they just feel like a gem sink for completionists, f2p players (and/or) players like me who don't have all boosts maxed won't and really should never bother with these 10 gem phone flings because of how slow the gem trickle is.
