Girls in the event

All of the events have had girls from outside the core cast.

Spooky has Charlotte and the monster girls, Frosty has Rosa, Renée and Juliet, Valentine's Event has Babybelle, Spring Fling has Mallory and Wendy, Beach Bash has Roxxy, Nova, Lustat and Shibuki, , and School Spirit has Sawyer, Lake, Ruri, Generica and Miss Desirëe. And Quill is the only core girl in the current event.

Part of the reason to have portal events is to showcase what the cash/diamond girls look like. along with the alternate outfits for the standard girls. Imagine someone plays this event, shows interest in Amelia, then goes out of their way to buy 200 diamonds for her.

It's the same reason why Suzu is in this one. This event is intended to be only for new players once it's over. They'll get a taste of speed dating, then go out of their way to purchase her in the main game.

It's all marketing.

Speaking of the girls in this event, I noticed that Quill has some new artwork. I wonder why that is. They haven't been updating the original characters in the past.

I noticed that too, and I'm not sure when it was added or when I got it (Probably one of the older Parallel events), but it is an outfit you can give her in the main game. It's called "Unique Outfit".

Some base game's girls unique outfits exist even before the first PES. Many can be obtained through sale.

If anything, I'm certain a lot of outfits recently are new ones. Not Quill perhaps, since I recall her unique being there before PES even a thing.
