Time played?!

According to Steam, I've played for less than 800 hours (something like "724.5")

However, according to my Achievements tab in Crush Crush, I've reached 57%+ of 4222 hours!?

Did something go wrong with the math?

Steam only counts the time you have the game open has time played, but crush crush counts the time since you started playing the game even counting the time when the game is closed and you are not interacting with the game. That is why for me steam says i have played for 335.5 hours but crush crush says i have played for over a year.

really? i didn't know it tracked and i have been playing since 2016 i may have 20k hours but i wonder how many hours i have in game then

Can confirm, Lyrae is right, with the minor detail that it only counts a maximum of 7 days offline between logins - the same cap as money and stats. If you don't touch the game for a month, it'll give you a week's time played.
