I'M STARTING TO BECOME UPSET!!
https://imgur.com/oVQDtWU

Just got another one of my screenshots banned.

Steam allows screenshots of explicit adult content in 2024. What is the problem here?

It seems like Sad Panda wants to have it's cake and eat it too. If you don't want these kind of screenshots in your community feed then STOP SELLING THE 18+ DLC!

This isn't a screenshot of some nude mod I decided to throw together. It's a screenshot of something I paid money for. I'm starting to regret supporting San Panda Studios, and seeing how this is the 5th or 6th screenshot that got banned I may never do business with them every again. (On top of everything these screenshots are like from 2016 so I don't even see the point of banning them now 8 years later.)

Because you do realize what a screenshot ban means right? Not only can I not upload further screenshots of Crush Crush until the ban period expires, but I cannot upload screenshot of ANY game.

If you don't want to see nude screenshots in your community hub then don't put them in your game. This isn't rocket science.

If just one more of my screenshots gets banned again I'm reporting Sad Panda Studios to the dev blacklist group for entrapment and unprofessional behavior. I'm sick of getting an account wide ban (on 8 year old screenshots) for something that isn't even a bannable offense.

I won't lie, I feel similarly to you about this.

It's one of the things I've strongly disliked about the SPS handling of community uploaded content here. I've had some great ideas for Guides, but I'm afraid to even consider starting those projects in fear of it simply getting banned by SPS.

If you are not sure Just ask on the support email that seems pretty safe

I think you May have missed this part in the rules posted by sad panda

"Any content not included in the base game cannot be discussed in the Discussions or have images posted in the Screenshots section - any postings made of the non-base game will result in that content being removed by us."
And yes the adult content is part of that

Did I miss that part? That's funny. I haven't touched Crush Crush since 2019.

Those guidelines were posted in 2022 for CONTENST I PAID FOR in 2017.

Kind of scummy behavior retroactively punishing players for something the devs not only did themselves but made us pay money for as well.

If they don't want nude screenshots in the community hub, that's fine, remove the 18+ DLC.

You can't have it both ways.
How about instead or complaing here when you dont play anymore
You contact the People that can actually help you

Unfortunately, it's not my style to adhere to requesting permission to post content.

I should be able to post content about the game that isn't a part of the base game without worrying. You can tag content appropriately, so I don't really see why it's a problem here.

It's a serious detriment and demotivator, in my opinion.
MikoKisai 11/set./2024 às 12:04
These restrictions ultimately come from Steam and them not allowing SPS to even *suggest* the existence of the DLC without the base game also being flagged as 18+. And that scenario is not acceptable; it's the entire reason that content has to be a DLC - it keeps the game accessible to as many people as possible (including all of Germany and China, since those countries block access to 18+ content for everyone).

That's not a theoretical risk, by the way: Steam already flagged the base game as 18+ at one point for that exact reason - which is why those rules now exist. Getting that fixed was already a struggle, and they understandably don't want to risk having to go through that again.

You are welcome to not like those rules. But there is no workable alternative at this point, until and unless Steam pulls back on those restrictions.

What was fixed? Go back to what?

"Nudity or Sexual Content" is the category this game is supposed to be in. But there is a category beyond it called "Adult Only Sexual Content". This is what the base game was reclassified as in 2022, and that is what forced them to make these changes to get it undone.

It *had* to be undone, because as I mentioned, "Adult Only" stuff is completely unavailable in some countries.

I played this game several years ago. Why am I being punished now? (Again I'm banned from posting ANY screenshots on steam right now.)

Seems like poor planning on their part. Again if they don't want an 18+ rating they should have never made 18+ content. It's really not that hard. :really:

They're fine with an 18+ rating *on the 18+ DLC*. But the base game is not that, and Steam doesn't have separate community pages for that, and they very understandably don't want to risk a repeat of what happened before.

Again, if you want to blame anyone, blame Valve for making them go through this in the first place.
Mackenzie 11/set./2024 às 13:01
I wouldn't blame Valve and Steam entirely for it, though of course, they are at least partially responsible for their policies and content control. The choice to develop official 18+ content for the game was an active decision, though. Such actions have consequences.

It is an unfortunate situation, but it still has some people afraid of posting content, or people like OP getting globally temp-banned from posting content.

How is that my problem? They don't want an adult rating then they shouldn't have put adult content into the game. It's basic logic.

Christ, this is what I get for trying to support indie dev studios. :steamfacepalm:
Miko Just explaines why this things had to happen the way they did
You Just happened to be collatoral damage

For future cases i reccomend checking if you have any more screenshots that are against the current rules posted and deleted them
that way you dont have to deal with the consequances
PurpleKingCrazy 11/set./2024 às 14:14
So many posts in so little time, but yea I guess that must be the factor in the case, posting some innapropriate stuff amongst the steam forums and screenshots. And yes, that includes full nudity.
BirbNotBird 11/set./2024 às 18:19
Holy water, I hope you email them politely, cause surely not your fault, but your hot temper may discourage anyone from interacting.

Tldr: +Op post 2017 18+ content.
+Content was flagged as banned content due to Steam bonk SPS in 2022. Reason being "it's must be pure adult or pure family friendly" content
+SPS must comply, so OP post got taken down after 2022.

I seriously recommend email them for a ban appeal and your commitment to the removal of 18+ content.

Steam definitely played a part in changing approach policies for SPS. Cause honestly, Miko and Gold explained well enough.

This is why recently, many 18+ games have a lewd version and a no lewd one. SPS DLC existed before the ban, so cross your fingers as the coding is hard to seperate.

I do recommend dealing with your issues than ranting on this forum.

I have 20,000 screenshots taken over the course of a decade. I'm not digging through 20,000 screenshots because someone in 2024 is offended by a screenshot I took in 2015. Retroactive censorship is the worst form of censorship.
Dont know how to do it on your own
But a friend can Look up screenshots from Crush Crush for You and Link them to you so you can remove them

Steam > View > Screenshots. Screenshot Manager opens. Select the game in the dropdown.

So even though this ban was only supposed to last 24 hours and should have expired this morning not only am I still not able to upload screenshots for any game, but I can't even leave comments on other people's screenshots. (Just tried to leave a comment of a random Morrowind screenshot and it says I can't.)

If my ability to interact with the steam community is not restored in the next 24 hours I'm having Sad Panda reported for abuse of power and demanding all their games be removed from the store.

This is beyond unacceptable! :winter2019angryyul:
If you Got a issue with SPS
the support email is the way to go
