I don't know what you have be told as solutions for this so will suggest the following:
Uninstall the game and reinstall there may be corruption in certain files and the 'verify files' is certainly not the end all people claim.
Check internet firewall and your anti virus software, sometimes the game can be flagged as a virus (had one yesterday that popped up as fine then instantly got blocked by my AV) so create an exception or remove it from quarantine.
Test the game on another computer if possible to see if the problem persists.
Sorry if you have tried these before but it would be best to email them, if you have to take screenshots including a clear image of your diamonds and any LTE/Shop girls you already have in case they need to do some real work on your game and can restore anything you might lose.
This one has been tough, and I'm not sure what the problem could be. I have a few comments, and maybe that will help with you being able to track down the problem. I apologize in advance for the monologue that is to follow, since I'm just writing down my thoughts. First a few things about Crush Crush that might be interesting:
1) Crush Crush on Steam uses an old version of Unity, much older than the version used on Blush Blush. This is done to maintain save files, since this old version of Unity is prone to losing save game data when upgrading Unity versions. This difference in Unity versions might explain why Blush Blush is unaffected by whatever is going on, and might also explain why some other games show the same issue at the same time (they may all be using Unity 5.4 or even 5.x).
2) When this issue occurs it seems to affect all network traffic for Crush Crush, not just communication with our server. The issue seems to be fall into one of two categories, which may be totally unrelated, but exhibit the same symptoms. Either:
a) SSL connections fail, and we will see SSL errors for connections to both Google and our backend servers
b) Some other issue occurs, and we'll see a network error for both Google and our backend servers
For example, we'll see an error message like so:
Google Analytics hit request failed with error Failed to connect to www.google-analytics.com port 443: Bad access
[BlayFap] [Error]: Error while sending BlayFap data: [Cannot connect to destination host]
The fact we see that communication with Google is failing suggests it is not a problem with our server, but a problem with Crush Crush being unable to get access to the internet.
Unfortunately, we're at the mercy of Unity (the game engine we use) when it comes to creating a network connection, and obviously something is going wrong here. Often times it is an antivirus, a virus/malware, a firewall, or an update to the operating system that causes issues like this. However, sometimes we're completely stumped and don't know what might be causing it.
Our most common suggestions are to check the whole network configuration (router/cabling/operating system/firewall/etc) for issues. We also suggest running a full virus and malware scan.
Another issue that can occur is our servers can sometimes be blocked by internet service providers, by school/office networks, and by other filters. For example, we've been notified that sadpandastudios.com has been blocked by some office network filters for hosting adult content. To verify whether you are affected by this, you can try browsing to sadpandastudios.com in your browser.
Very rarely we have also seen CloudFlare (our DNS and CDN) block some IP ranges that are bad behaving. This usually happens on public networks that are host to a computer that contains malware, and connecting to a different network can help with this issue. If you browse to sadpandastudios.com and see a CloudFlare page then that is likely what is happening.
I would love to hear if any of these comments help with tracking down the issue. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience here, and I wish I had a guaranteed solution that would fix the problem. Sincerely,
- Sad Panda Programmer
