What does it mean to "gild" a job, and how do you do it?

I got Darya, and it says I have to gild 1 job in order to progress. I'm not sure what that means, or how it's done. Could somebody explain?

Go to the Jobs screen and click on the diamond-shaped symbol next to one of the jobs- it'll cost you diamonds to do so (I can't remember how many, I've had them gilded for a while).

Edited to add: I think it causes whatever job you gild to give you more money.

Thanks, I think I have enough diamonds to do that, and still have enough for Pamu, who wants me to have 10 diamonds.

Nevermind, I'm 6 diamonds bellow. I could gild a job, but than I'd need to get more for Pamu.
Does Pamu take them, or could I use them to gild a job after finishing Pamu?

I think Pamu only takes one diamond at an earlier level (and only the first time you pass it), so I'm guessing you'll be fine.
