Peanut is Bae-nut because, while shut-in, super-hacker, "I hacked you for no reason so uhhh I don't have a plan or motivation," girls who are also "loli jailbait" and wear wolf ears -- and weigh 70 pounds -- don't exist, girls like Peanut do. There are really actually women who go to college and look cute.
Ruri is a boring fantasy that is not only boring, but a fantasy. Peanut is cute and good and real. She's like Mio, if Mio wasn't a "gamer," but someone who was trying to make a life for herself.
The votes do not show a trend strictly following the order of the girls, from Crush Crush Wiki, Peanut got 35976, Ruri 21325, Generica 15324, Sawyer 12533. (Wendy 8289, Lake 6726, Sofia 4643, Desiree 3878, Caitlin 3504, Honey 3141, Lotus 3044)
There is also no proof showing that without this bias other girls can win, judging from the data your claim is equal to saying that 14652 people, 40% of Peanut's base, will vote other girls if there is no bias. If this bias is so strong then Wendy, Generica, and Lotus which is at the BOTTOM, should have massacred Ruri with a minigun and overkilled her with a flamethrower.
Sure, you can double down your claim by saying that people that did not vote for Peanut are calm enough to pick other girls considering factors besides the order of the girls, and Wendy and Lotus lost because they are not good enough (Generica put up a good fight though I hope we can agree on that one). Well, the Pandas say that they received lots of suggestions for them to consider another in the future and we should stay tuned for that, with Peanut removed from the candidates, I am looking forward to see Wendy's votes miraculously boom and others get beaten to pulp.
In fact, Crush Crush Wiki also performed a poll "Which Phone Fling in Crush Crush would you most like to see become a fully date-able girl?" to mirror the offical vote. The results are Peanut 84, Wendy 10, Generica 39, Lotus 7, Sofia 4, Caitlin 4, Ruri 24, Desiree 1, Honey 3, Sawyer 81, Lake 7.
With a population size 118383, sample size 264, confidence level 95%, the margin of error is 6%...
Basic calculations:
31.8 +/- 6% for Peanut (30564 - 44770 votes), fits the official poll
3.8 +/- 6% for Wendy (0 - 11587 votes), fits the official poll
14.8 +/- 6% for Generica (10385 - 24591 votes), fits the official poll
2.7 +/- 6% for Lotus (0 - 10241 votes), fits the official poll
1.5 +/- 6% for Sofia and Caitlin (0 - 8896 votes), fits the official poll
9.1 +/- 6% for Ruri (3659 - 17865 votes), doesn't fit the official poll
0.38% +/- 6% for Desiree (0 - 7551 votes), fits the official poll
1.1 +/- 6% for Honey (0 - 8448 votes), fits the official poll
30.7 +/- 6% for Sawyer (29219 - 43425 votes), doesn't fit the official poll
2.7 +/- 6% for Lake (0 - 10241 votes), fits the official poll
All the phone fling logs can be seen on wiki, so the bias should be weakened there. However, most of the results still fit the official poll, most of the girls never stand a chance against Peanut. In fact, the unusual phenomenon should be Ruri's rise and Sawyer's fall...
Glad you point out the fact that the polls showed that the position doesn't fully explain how the votes went.
As Winston Churchill said: "The great thing about democracy, is that it gives every voter the chance to do something stupid."
I just wanted to add that Crush Crush players shouldn't have been allowed to vote in the poll until they had finished every single phone fling that was available at the time of voting.
The worst thing about the voting was that people were able to vote more than once.
Also if there is another vote, I'd probably hope that Sawyer wins but could settle for Generica. Generica would require something like 10 lines total that could be broken up into 3-4 fragments each? She'd probably be a fast add to the game. XD
I ended up putting my five votes on Sawyer during the third week of September. Mind you, I didn't expect my votes to help spike her into first place but I voted my conscience. In my opinion she appeared to be the most giggly of the ladies and it was my hope that if she was ever upgraded that she would continue to be so.
If I had known that it would cost diamonds afterwards, I would have voted for Lake ;-;
I'd find a reelection/new voting useful.
