I had the opposite experience. She wasn't creepy, or unpleasant, or a racial stereotype. She was cute and earnest and the most like a *person,* and a cut above all of the other phone fling girls.

Peanut is Bae-nut because, while shut-in, super-hacker, "I hacked you for no reason so uhhh I don't have a plan or motivation," girls who are also "loli jailbait" and wear wolf ears -- and weigh 70 pounds -- don't exist, girls like Peanut do. There are really actually women who go to college and look cute.

Ruri is a boring fantasy that is not only boring, but a fantasy. Peanut is cute and good and real. She's like Mio, if Mio wasn't a "gamer," but someone who was trying to make a life for herself.

I believe there is bias and latter girls have a natural disadvantage, I believe Peanut has an upper hand by being the first girl. However, claiming she won ONLY because of that is baseless.

This. 100x this. There are some good points being made in this and other threads (First Option Bias being real, and it was kinda stupid to not only let us vote without fully seeing everyone's flings but also to see the results in real time), but I would guess the biggest factors for Peanut's popularity are 1) she's a cut character (which I didn't know until now, but apparently a lot of other people did) and 2) at most her gimmick is being a shy introvert that seems like an actual person.

Peanut was probably the most plain of them all. She is okay, but didn't deserve to win in my opinion.

The worst thing about the voting was that people were able to vote more than once.

Can a Ruri fan please explain the appeal of her? I personally found her annoying but figure there's probably some aspect of her that I completely missed.

Also if there is another vote, I'd probably hope that Sawyer wins but could settle for Generica. Generica would require something like 10 lines total that could be broken up into 3-4 fragments each? She'd probably be a fast add to the game. XD

Of course Peanut should have been an option. She was a Phone Fling. I didn't vote for her but I'm not going to whine because other people did. I enjoy playing Crush Crush and I'm happy to see new content regardless.

I ended up putting my five votes on Sawyer during the third week of September. Mind you, I didn't expect my votes to help spike her into first place but I voted my conscience. In my opinion she appeared to be the most giggly of the ladies and it was my hope that if she was ever upgraded that she would continue to be so.
