Camera controls

How do you access free control of the camera? I am not suggesting letting you move anywhere on the airport but giving you control more like you are in the tower looking out and can look in any direction you want to. The snappy focusing camera makes it difficult at times to keep visual track of the traffic.

Click the camera icon in the command panel. (it will dim to signify auto cam off?)

You can then hold the middle mouse button down and freely pan the view around in free mode.

At least that's what I've found that works since I've been unable to find a manual. :-)

BTW, the cam will always snap focus to the plane you are in the process of entering commands to.

This is not an option for me. I have a gaming mouse which has about 13 buttons on it but no middle button. I have tried them all and none seem to perform this function. We need control remapping.

sry i wasn't more clear....

By middle button I meant click the scroll wheel down and hold it. While it's held down the mouse will pan the view around.

You need to deactivate any airplane for free rotating camera. Means no plane selected.
