What you will find in halo wars is a minimalistic base building rts, you have set locations to build bases and set slots to build some building. Simple but fun.
The campaign IS set 21 years before the events of Halo: CE, it is only 6 hours long but its worth replaying of you like a challenge and being a completionist. The cut scenes and voice acting holds up very well, and the graphics are not to shabby either. If you have a friend you will be able to do co-op during the campaign.
Skirmish modes are fun and the AI can be challenging, but can also be stupid at times. This is also playable with friends on your team or against. The majority of my time is just playing quick skirmish matches, its a nice relaxed game which you can pause and then come back to, change of pace from playing PUBG all the time.
Multi player is dead, I rarely see anyone playing online which is sad but halo wars 2 is out so can't blame them.
For £15 its not to bad, but if you don't want to spend that much wait for a sale, either way I do think this game is worth it.
If you dont want to buy HW1 maybe think of HW2, I just have, it can be found on Kinguin for around £16, similair to HW1.
