ElDewrito 6.0 released just some days ago and everybody loved it. The population got above 8000 people, many YouTubers streamed it (HiddenXperia stremed it for 5 hours). But... what happened? Well, aparently the game was shutdown by Microsoft.

Simply by reading this, you can get a sense of how big it is, developed by modders for 2 years. It's a Halo fan's dream, yet, you don't need to be a Halo fan to enjoy it. Everyone could play and relieve Halo 3, sharing great moments, epic wins or fails, creative Forge maps and gamemodes... laid to rest.
I couldn't play it because my graphics card is an AMD, and the result was a broken game with a broken UI, but with other GCs it worked fine. Best thing to do now, is wait for a proper Halo 3 PC release, even if it's just Multiplayer only. RIP ElDewrito.

Well, you can play Combat Evolved and Halo 2 now. BUT there's something Halo exclusive to PC and that's SPV3. It's a mod done so well it's an understatement to call it a mod. It's been in development for over 13 years. You can find it at it's own Reddit page: https://www.reddit.com/r/halospv3/
It may not be official, but it's worth giving a shot like if it was.

Not exactly. But who knows what future holds from 343i/Microsoft. In the meantime, I can wait until 343i/Microsoft releases Halo: MCC, coming to Windows 10 PC/Steam only. I'm excited for other games such as MMX LC1+2, MMLC 1+2 (Switch), Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Resident Evil II: Remake, etc.

I understand what you mean, you want it "official", but you are depriving yourself of a good experience skipping the SPV3. Besides, even if some new Halo comes to PC and it will for sure come to the PC eventually, you may still feel unfulfilled having to depart from Steam and go for it to the Microsoft Store. So this way or the other, you will have to stretch your habits.

Actually... if you want it official, yes, you're out of luck, but with SPV3, you're not. The mod achieved a lot. Highly detailed models, FOV slider through OpenSauce, 60 FPS animations and cinematics (something the original CE can't do, excluding MCC versions, of course. It's a huge achievement), but the framerate can be unlocked even in vanilla CE. It also SUPPORTS 4K. While there's no multiplayer, the quality of the single player is absolutely astounding. I think you should really give it a try, at least for the first mission.

So many people used to play halo online. Lots of good times with fatkid and late nights and beer. But now MCC is better when the server browser is up.
