How to increase unit cap to 200 ?
I'm trying phxtools and i'm getting confused.

Is there an easy way?

http://www.moddb.com/games/halo-wars-definitive-edition/downloads/nathans-mini-halo-wars-mod this is the mod I use. Does a bit more than just increase pop size.

Changing pop cap is very easy. Btw Zombian, changing the unit composition of infatry will mess them up. They'll no longer be able to use garrisons

Do i just drag and drop the file or backup copy paste overwrite?

also, i am trying to do this with my friends. Will it work with myltiplayer?

If both of you have the file yes. You would just drag and replace, but I would suggest keeping the original incase

That is what i did.

This guide i was following suggested i use Phx or something and got confused right away.

Yeah Phx is the tool. You can ignore the first 5 steps with the Steam version. I'm unploading an increased pop cap mod though now

You know ProtoUnits are buildings right? And you didn't need to comment them out, just change the units in the squad and their total pop for each marine. Unless you're using upgrades that stagger the amount of extra infantry instead of one upgrade that does it all, even then you just modify the research outcome.
You can do the exact same with bases. I have a base site that has 8 turret slots and used to have a rhino pad attached to it

Where is this coming from?
My section about commenting out the TRANSFORMProtoUnits lines was about the tech upgrade that TRANSFORMS all marines into ODSTs and all plasma pistol grunts into needler grunts, something I didn't want.
Did I write something else referring to ProtoUnits? I don't see it, so what are you talking about? Seems you misunderstood something.

"by commenting out the TransformProtoUnit lines,". ProtoUnits are buidling. Commenting them out disables the ability to research the upgrade in the building, or train the unit

I'm going to hazard a guess that english isn't your main language?
I'm going to spell it out for you.
In the Techs.xml file, you can find the different upgrades you can get, say in the barracks, when you upgrade to odst, it tells the game to transform all marines to odst units, and also to transform squads into odst squads, I commented it out, meaning I simply made the game not read that. Deleting the specific lines would have worked just as well.
You being fixated on "ProtoUnits" meaning only buildings and nothing else either shows a lack of knowledge on your part on the logic of the code or that you simply have a hard time with communicating in english.
You can download my mod from moddb and see for yourself that it absolutely works, it doesn't disable any ability to research because I've already tested it and all the other people who've downloaded the mod have reported success.
