I'm just happy 343 is paying us any attention at all.
All we got was a couple twin stick shooters ported from mobiles that you could complete in 5-6 minutes.
Seeing Halo Wars on Steam is a massive change. And the possibility that 343 will come back with at least the original trilogy, is much higher now. They are now fully aware there is a huge potential market here.
"Not gonna happen." That's what people have said for years. And yet we are now seeing 2-3 Halo fan projects being openly supported by Microsoft/343, and Halo Wars is now on this platform.
"You're just going to get a fractured community" The Halo community is already fractured. Filled to the brim with a bunch of children and man-children screaming at each other about what "Halo should REALLY look like." At this point, I could care less about the Halo community.
"we've had massive Halo communities focused on playing and creating content for the existing PC based Halos." So? How would it change anything in a negative way? You're making Halo more accessible by porting it to PC.
I see no reason as to why Halo 1, 2, and 3 cannot be ported here on Steam. It wouldn't do any damage to Xbox sales, it would create another source of revenue, modders would have a new toy to play with, fans would be happy, at the end of the day everyone wins. The only people who don't want this to be a reality are the platform elitists, and I personally don't care what they have to say.
Not everything needs steam intergration.

What I meant by "platform elitists" are the people who believe in that "master race" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I swear to god I want to personally strangle the idiot who came up with that nonsense. There is no master race, it's just people and their usual tribalistic tendencies.
I don't want the MCC on Steam, you're putting words in my mouth. I simply want the trilogy, nothing more and nothing less. Asking for the moon, the sun, and the stars that surround them is pointless. You will never get the more modern Halo titles, because Microsoft still needs a flagship for their consoles. But there is a much larger chance we will get something like Halo: CE on here.
If you can't understand this, then there is no point in communicating with you any further.
You can even see the 4 types of grenades in the top left corner of the HUD and you say it's Halo CE? Didn't know brutes were in Halo 1, must be hidden. And by looking at the background you can tell it's the map Valhalla, you have no idea what you're talking about. :P
