Update #8 focuses on performance, visual stability, quest flow, combat behavior, and a number of issues reported during exploration.

A major part of this update is dedicated to optimization. We improved performance for many abilities, VFX, and environmental effects, reduced overall VRAM usage, and improved shadow rendering. These changes should help the game run more smoothly, especially in heavier scenes and effect-heavy encounters.

• Improved performance for many abilities and visual effects, including geysers, falling leaves, locks, torches, lightning stones, fog, fireflies, blood effects, gates, floating targets, wisp, fire projectiles, Koschei’s lasers, Ghoul effects, Stomp, Fire Breath, Ice Strike, Dash, Shuriken, Tornado, Skorokhod, Mega Shot, and Worm.

• Fixed visual artifacts when rendering the hero in the inventory

• Fixed a spot in Alaborg, Reeking Forest where the player could get stuck near the brewing cauldrons during the “The Missing Children” quest
  
• Fixed missing quest guidance for the “Find the master’s daughter” step in A Place to Call Your Own in Alaborg
  
• Improved interaction detection for the training spot in the Alaborg inn yard
  
• Added missing route guidance on the map for returning to the Herbalist in the Kodok & Vorosha underground
  
• Fixed incorrect map routes for “Bogatyr Business” and “A Job for a Bogatyr” in Alaborg
  
• Added autosaves in Woodsy Lair between the cave section and the Grimwood boss fight

• Fixed an issue where Worm did not properly interrupt archer aiming
  
• Fixed spinning blades dealing damage with their rear side instead of only the dangerous edge
  
• Adjusted trap damage in the Golden Fish cave in Alaborg’s underground
  
• Fixed Tornado not damaging flying demons
  
• Fixed Grimwood not properly following the player around the arena

• Fixed ability cards slightly extending beyond the top golden border in the ability menu
  
• Fixed incorrect scrollbar hit detection in the inventory
  
• Fixed the right arrow remaining active in the quick-use menu when there were not enough items for a second page
  
• Fixed default quest icons appearing on many Alaborg and 3/9 Finale quests
  
• Fixed an interaction marker appearing in the house before Kuzya is available there

• Fixed Old Man with Honey’s line being skipped before the voiceover finished in Kodok & Vorosha
  
• Fixed the player being moved too far back when triggering the cutscene with Olaf in Alaborg
  
• Fixed incorrect placement of Enlightened characters in the prologue cutscene
  
• Fixed mugs floating in the air in the prologue if the player reached the frog before Vasili
  
• Fixed repeated camera movement for the chest cutscene on the way to Alaborg

• Fixed the fire prompt remaining after ice melts in Kodok & Vorosha
  
• Fixed Firebird armor visual glitches in the inventory
  
• Fixed cabbage plants giving turnips when gathered in Alaborg
  
• Fixed a broken texture in the The Missing Caravan quest area where the player could get stuck

We’re continuing to improve performance with each update. Some optimization tasks take time to implement properly, so more changes will continue to arrive gradually in upcoming patches.
