[Tutorial] How to launch the game

The Steam version of this game uses an outdated version of the MG launcher that can't even update itself because it's wired to old URLs. If you still wants to play this game for some reason, you'll want to fix this.

TL;DR: Install the updated launcher from https://my.games/launcher, and copy all files from it's installation path into the MGLauncher folder in Allods' steam folder.

Step-by-step:

1. Go to https://my.games/launcher and get the downloader for the new launcher.
   
2. Install the new launcher in a folder of your choice. Take note of this folder.
   
3. After the new launcher is installed, it will open. Close it, and close it right clicking the icon in the tray.
   
4. Go to the installation folder of the updated launcher.
   
5. Copy all files inside the folder.
   
6. Go to your installation folder for Allods. It might be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Allods Online My.com or something similar.
   
7. Inside the Allods folder, there is a MGLauncher folder. Go there and paste everything you copied in step 5.
   
8. Launch the game normally, from steam.

Now the new launcher should open, without the "Checking for updates" popup. Simply click play and the game should open correctly (you might get a black/white screen, just wait a bit).

Bro It worked perfectly. Can't believe I wasted hours trying nonsense methods that didn’t even help, MY.GAMES couldn't be bothered to update the Steam launcher properly.

Didn't work for me.
It just tried to install the game again and again in the wrong folder.
When I changed the folder to where the game is already installed it tried to install it ontop of it.

Just download it from the official Allods website.
Steam version of the game is not worth the hassle.
