Allods Online

Allods Online

Are you wondering if Allods is worth playing?
I have played Allods Online back in early 2013 way before the P2P (Subscription) server was a thing, and I continued to play it for years until I dropped it because I could not take the P2W nonsense in the F2P server anymore. However, years later, while swiping through my old screenshot album, I felt nostalgic about Allods, and decided to give it another try! This time, on the P2P server rather than the F2P.

I find it ironic that exactly 10 years later from trying out Allods for the first time, that I decided to come back for it, and let me tell you that I have played both WoW (Retail & Classic), Elder Scrolls Online, and FFXIV each for years yet Allods Online on the P2P server manages to provide me with entertainment enough for me to play it for many hours every day. It might be the nostalgia effect at play here but I find Allods online charming in many aspects, especially in the worldbuilding aspect.

If anyone, both new and returners, wants to play Allods Online, then I highly recommend you to playing in the P2P server (1 month subscription for $5). The community is small in comparison to the other MMOs, but it's big enough that you can do anything including raiding and PvP, especially if you ask for it. While the game itself is far from perfect, and probably too late or impossible to get back to how it was in its prime, I hope that you find joy and entertainment while playing it as I did.

Keep in mind, most negative reviews here are about the F2P server, which is P2W, but the P2P server offers you an experience without any of that crap.

If you have any questions about the game, I'd gladly answer you either here on Steam or on Discord (kranelsan)

Great post. I briefly played Allods years ago, but only put in.. maybe ~5-20 hours, barely anything for an mmorpg. Been looking for an mmorpg to get into recently and haven't really been able to find any. Saw allods in the list and was going to give it a try until I saw the reviews complaining about P2W.

Might actually give it a shot now. Just have to decide whether it's worth dropping the $$ to instantly get onto the P2P server, or give it a try on F2P and then just re-do the starter quests again on a new char.. oh well, nap time first

Well i play on f2p for nearly 9 years and havent got bored actually, its so addictive but its not pay to win its pay to exist since you have an absolute zero chance to keep up with old players or lets say Whales lol, it might cost you thousands of dollars to reach their level and sadly the game is full of them its like Mygames is only keeping up the game going for some really paying players, i would say to be able to start to build yourself in the game you need to spend monthly on it at least 40 50 dollars to keep the cash/crystal flow into your account so u can keep up ugrading urself, as the game dive into the seasons the older u r the better u r. But yeah as a free player nope u cant there some basic things that you cannot easily get in the game by grinding all day long such as Patronage level 5 adds 50% more dmg and dfns it would take about 2 years of grinding all daily quests for gold just to get it which in reality it costs a range between 50 and 70 dollars and yeah 1-2 years is right number my and my friends were joking and calculated it if u play in one character ofc other than patro 5 the a ton of permanent expensive items u should get cheapst 10 dollars most 60 70 and u need a ton of them lol a mount but luckily the game now provides new players with good one but ofc not combat mount and yeah combat mounts are rare and also expensive 40 50 dollars and about the runes u need to sell ur house to get full 13a and good luck friend
