Instantly leveled from 1 to max level and I am confused...

When I got on the game I thought it looked pretty cool so I started playing around with a random character I made. After about a hour I looked through the items in my bags and I noticed I had this item called Instructions for Heros and after I clicked and used it I was teleported away to some area I haven't seen before and I am now max level... Can someone please explain what exactly happened?

same happened to me. the devs decided to allow everyone to be max level in this game so that everyone can play end game together. as the population is rather low now. (back then when it had a big population it was a blast)

the devs are focusing on their newer mmo now.

This item is in the box u get I guess around level 5. If you place the mosue cursor on items in the bag, it will show you a tooltip. There will be written something about "this will rise you to level 85". For people who does it - leveling in this time isn't that hard. Times before it was much harder and it took like 1 or 2 months to get max level. So it is up to you to chose if u want to grow up through the game, or ur ok with lvl 85 and trying all new spells. Usally u dont need a lot of them, for fighting usually around 8 spells :) If u use the boost, than is good to go check youtube and watch some gameplays (always check the version of the game, so u dont watch old patches).

I have several characters and none of them got this insta-85 boost.
And they are all above level 5.

Same here, no item that boosted me up to 85, you can buy them in the in game store if the steam overlay would work to purchase crystals

the instant max level boost was removed in 2018, it also came with level 7 runes and a mount if i remember correctly and epic earing slot
