The moving library place that you go through with Tiz's mother, it has a number of dead end rooms that have codex's in them. I know for a fact that I missed one in there as I didn't notice it until I had already clicked on the exit circle.
The other one is when you are fighting through the whispering streets or whatever they are called, where there are also a lot of dead ends. I found a few masks and inks in dead ends in that place as well.
There are also a few open areas like parts of the city that I had to run around a bit to find the codex's in that area.
To get to them quickly, select the Chapter from the Main Menu while using the save game profile you want to complete the Codex on.
In the Whispering Streets first maze scene, there are 1 Codex Entry, and 1 Mask (Amadea). In the second maze scene, there are 1 Codex Entry, 1 Ink and 1 Mask (Cicero). In the third maze scene, there are 1 Engraving and 1 Mask (Kalden).
If there are any other codex entries where you need help with finding their locations, feel free to ask!
In order to get both "The First" and "Ombric Calendar", you will need to explore the left path (it's near the bottom side of the map between 2 bookshelves) and the right path (it's near the right side of the map) before triggering the fight sequence in the library where the Vegilus are held hostage.
For the collected codex entries to save to the profile, you will need to complete the scene (rescue the Vegilus) so that the start of the next scene performs the autosave.
After the fights and after talking to Brekken, run back towards the start of the level and it should be there along the way.
Thank you so much, it was driving me and my friends nuts not finding it! <3
The game is quite addicting for me, so I don't mind replaying the chapters, but I'm a bit of a completionist, so please anyone? =)
On another note... I seem to have a bug with obtaining one of the raw masks for Vasco. The one in the room with the "stone salt machine" in the hideout under the Golden Canvas. There was the "new raw mask found" message, but nothing appeared in mask selection for any of the characters. Since I now have all the other masks except for one of Vasco's, I guess this one is it.... Did anyone else also encounter this?? Thanks.
The missing mask for Vasco is indeed a current bug, it is currently accidentally unlocked to Amadea's inventory (which doesn't show up in the menus). You can either edit the save file (it is a text file) to fix this and move the mask to Vasco, otherwise it is fixed for the next patch.
Thank you so much.
