How many playable characters?

With the new update, how many playable characters do you have? Including temporary party members.

You have up to 7 characters in your party at a time, but here's a list of (to my knowledge) every playable character:

• Alex
  
• Sammy (temporary but can be summoned to assist in battle with The Heart Unlocked Karta by beating the superboss in NG++)
  
• Michael
  
• Vella
  
• Rory
  
• Claudio
  
• Chondra
  
• The Essentia 2000
  
• The Player (replaces Essentia during the Y2K Debugger Ending)
  
• Krow (exclusive to Alex's Mind Dungeon until NG+ onwards, although I think technically the Krow in NG+ and the Mind Dungeon ones are two distinct entities)
  
• ?????/The Nameless Child (only becomes playable in battle in NG+ onwards, unlocked in NG++ by beating the superboss)
  
• Cyrille (NG+ onwards, unlocked in NG++ by beating the superboss)
  
• Asuka (NG+ onwards, unlocked in NG++ by maxing out all Karta)
  
• Wilfrid (exclusive to NG++'s Cape Juno sidequest)

Also, technically Michael, Vella, Rory, Claudio, and Chondra all get replaced by parallel selves during the Y2K Debugger Ending, but they play nearly the same with very few exceptions (e.g. Michael can't use the gun).
