Save Game Files?
Anyone know where the save games are being put? No Steam Cloud apparently. So I have to manually transfer.

Any help is appreciated.

Sincerely,

Nevermind. I found it myself. For anyone that wishes to transfer their saves, they are located in:

C:\Users\"YOUR USERNAME"\AppData\LocalLow\AckkStudios\YIIK_ A Postmodern RPG

I just copied all the files over except the Unity folder. Works fine.

DEV: Please consider enabling Steam Cloud for this game. KKTHXBAI

Sincerely,

We'll look in to steam cloud. we don't know much about it, but we'll figure it out!

quick way to path is : %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow where most games saves for some idiotic reason.
Wonder why devs (esp. Unity) default to that silly folder when Windows have (since Vista), its default savefile folder GUID (knowfolder) in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games :os_prophetbot:
and to make it even more fun, windows also have %USERPROFILE%\"Documents\my games" though, not strictly for saves..

@ AckkStudios Thanks! That would be awesome. Enjoying your game, but unfortunately I have to travel a lot as of late and am forced to game on a laptop. When I am home I want to use my main rig and laze on the couch. Steam Cloud would simplify things for me.

@joridiculous Appreciate the shortcuts! As for the placement . . . who knows? Regardless, this dev is going to look into Steam Cloud; for most users it will make file placement a non-issue. Ya dig?

Not really. I like having the "physical" versions of save files around :P
Games that use both 'save files' and cloud saves are pretty ok though :acbutterfly:

Each unto his/her own, I guess. I never cared enough to back up my files like that. I imagine most people don't. But I do see the wisdom in it. I still have my old FF7 save on a memory card where I beat the game in like 20ish hours. I think my characters were lvl 40ish. The final fight Sephiroth Meteor(ed) me three times. LMAO! It's nice to go back and look at it from time to time.
