I cannot force retake

I’ve never been able to force any opponent to retake.
I only play against AI and when they foul, I press 'Tab'. Works. Then I try and press '3'. Doesn’t work, be it with or without 'Shift', on keyboard or on numpad.

And being unable to force retake has cost me wins.

So… help!

I have not been able to replicate this when playing today, so I might be talking utter nonsense here but...
- are all the 3 options definitely displayed on screen before you press that choice?
Sometimes I find that the 'Force Retake' isn't an offered option due to ball positioning (not snookered with full ball strike available) and thus your only options might be 2 options of 'Cancel' or for your opponent to 'Force Continue'.
- if the 3 options are on screen and pressing the number 3 doesn't get a response, what happens instead? Do you press that option and the game ignores it? Id assume if TAB gets a response then inputs are reporting.
- Maybe try a different keyboard or maybe an xbox controller for a few matches to see if its different?
- Maybe open notepad and test depressing each key to make sure they are working with no dead keys or intermittent ones?
May be a long-shot (No pun intended) and apologies if I'm not much help but honestly wish you luck.
