What is WRC 6?

WRC 6 is the official game of the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship season (WRC). It includes the 14 WRC events, all the official WRC drivers and teams, as well as a wide selection of WRC 2 and Junior WRC drivers.

What is affected by the difficulty option?

Difficulty affects three parameters:

• AI times: The higher the difficulty, the more difficult it would be to place first at.
  
• The amount of damage inflicted to the car with each impact.
  
• The number of attempts per stage.

In career mode, when can I start competing in WRC?

Career mode puts you in the shoes of a rookie Junior WRC driver. Before competing in WRC 1, players need to either to complete his sponsor's objectives. By doing so, players are given the chance to skip the Junior WRC season entirely and reach the WRC 2.
Finally, players need to successfully complete their sponsors' objectives to get to WRC.
In the end, the speed at which players progress through the ranks depends on their performance.

What happens if I fail to meet a sponsor's contract?

If you fail a contract while not competing in WRC, you will not be able to be promoted to the next tier and your chances of renewing a contract with the same sponsor will be greatly diminished.

How are points scored during a rally?

Each stage time is cumulated throughout an entire rally. At the end of a rally, the ten best drivers are awarded points based on their placement the 1st place driver earns 25 points. The 2nd place driver earns 18 points. The following drivers get 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 points and the 10th and the final place driver earns a single point.

Do I need a special account to play online?

You only need a platform-specific account for online play.

What are the online options for playing with friends?

Players can either host or join a game where they compete for the best time in a single stage or a complete rally.

Is it possible to play an online tournament with friends?

There is no in-game option to set-up a full tournament.

Can I download a friend's ghost?

Yes. When consulting the leaderboards, you can see all of your friend's completion times per stage and download their ghosts. You can also download the ghosts of other players.

Are there color-blind options?

Yes, you can choose to display the co-drivers' pace-notes using easily readable colors for players with Deuteranopia.

Are super special stages available in career mode?

Yes.

Can I use LAN to play multiplayer?

No. You can play with friends, online or using split-screen or hot-seat option.

What modes can be played using hot-seat?

A complete Rally can be played with up to 8 people using the hot-seat option.

How does the weekly events system work?

Each Thursday at 00:01am players will be able to enjoy a new Challenge. And each Friday at 00:01am, a new Shakedown.
Challenges are skill-based and the objective is always to be the faster to complete a special.
In Shakedowns, objectives can vary: end the special with a maximum of drifts, drive without co-pilot, or without handbrake…
Some evolutions are already planned for early 2017, when the new eSports season will start. Challenges will be less recurrent, to leave some space to eSports events. More information will be given later on our official channels.

eSports 2017

The 2016 season is about to end, during the Great-Britain Rally, end of October. Once the season over, we’ll finalize the 2017 concept and share more information on the competition.

What are the control options?

You can use a wheel and pedal combo.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One are also fully supported. Alternatively, other similar controllers are compatible. Keyboard and Mouse controls can also be used.
All the buttons can be remapped.

What are the supported resolutions on PC?

The game supports resolutions up to 4096x2160.

Is the game VR compatible?

The possibility of Oculus Rift compatibility was explored during development up to the point of having a compatible build. However, we decided to exclude this option from the final release as we were not satisfied with the final result. We would explore the possibility in the future however and will keep you posted until then.

I like that you are able to skip directly to wrc-2. One of my biggest gripes in previous WRC games is that you always have to start with the slow FWD cars, which can be pretty boring

Couple of questions you didn't answer. Why is there 2 DRM systems on this game, when you include Steam?

Hi tayotheif,

We faced a truly massive piracy last year with WRC5 (the proportion of truly purchased copies was ridiculous compared to the false copies on the market), so we decided to protect our newly created title from dishonest players.
Some players argued that it was a way to judge the game quality before buying it. But there are enough information, videos, and reviews available to get an idea of the quality of the title.

On Steam, if you buy the Deluxe Edition (note from Bigben: this Deluxe version is not 100% confirmed, we need final texts Friday morning), the car will be automatically unlocked.
The Toyota Yaris is also available as a single DLC you can purchase, and will unlock automatically if you also purchased the game.

1. Do you have plans to release WRC 6 for Linux/SteamOS or maybe also for macOS?
2. WRC 6 support Steam Controller?
3. Can you prepare demo?
4. Why you use Denuvo Antitamper? Not better make if DRM-Free like is on store GOG or like doing The Witcher developers (they have big sales :), and DRM-Free helping with it )
5. Maybe you can add in future patch new low level API Vulkan or crossplatform OpenGL?

Where's the setting to change default from metric to imperial ?. I want to drive in MPH not KPH please. Can't believe there's not a setting for this (unles I've not looked properly !).

Bonjour,
Je vais plus parler des défauts, car je le trouve jolie et niveau contenu raisonable.(manque les années nostaliques, 205, R5 Turbo, Alpine et j'en passe).
Les graphiques légèrement améliorés, la végétation (arbres, herbes) sont plus jolies que Forza Horizon 3, meme si celui-ci est plus jolie (j'ai du mal avec l'herbes dans FH3, je la trouve moche), c'est mon point de vue.
Problème de clipping mais rien de méchant, la pluie est à peine visible en vue capot et brouillard trop prononcé, le soir et le matin avec la pluie on dirait qu'il fait nuit, on avait pas ce défaut dans le 5. en espérant un patch à venir.
La pluie devrait avoir la réflection avec les phares allumés,comme ça on la verra mieux, possibilité aussi de pouvoir avancer, reculer, monter et descendre le siege en vue interieur, cela serait sympa, sinon pour moi, c'est un bon jeu, meilleur gameplay, ressenti Terre, gravier et bitume bien mieux que le précedant, pour moi vous avait bien travailler sur le jeu, le moteur graphique est très bon (moi je l'adore), mais mérite d'etre travailler peut etre plus au niveau des filtres (MSAA ou autres). Note presse 10/20, alors que sur Youtube (donc joueurs) bien plus et se sont les joueurs qui font le jeu et pas le contraire.
