This or Conception Plus?
whilst I like the looks of the heroines more in this version I'm cautious about it feeling much older than the remake without the quality of life aspects. I don't know which game to give a try and want to give it the best shot.

I just bought this a few days ago and sunk like 50 hours into it. I love the old school JRPG feel but with simulation variety. There's a lot to figure out and I found it overall satisfying to get through the whole thing. i would say get both- this one cost me less than $4 which is a steal.
The only quality of life things they could've added were more shortcuts to get thru the menu sections quicker. That and adding a way to refresh the enemy scan ability the protag has. You'd think given the time frame this game came out they wouldn't have known to add it in. They could've thought of it like pokemon's repel system. (once it wears off a little pop-up with yes/no on refreshing worked wonders)

I hated having to re-open the menu and having to navigate to the protag's skills just to use the enemy scan over and over. Other than that, they did pretty well and considering it is on sale for $4 right now as of 1/27, that is a damn good price

haven't played in a hot min, but you're not missing much QoL-wise by playing this one first. yeah, Plus's makes things easier, but it's not miles better. bought both a couple years ago and played back and forth without any glaring differences in that aspect.

Conception Plus was censored while Conception 2 was not, afaik. Something you might want to know before buying.
