Any tips on upgrades?
I've found that upgrading meteor 3 times right away means a powerful offense available somewhat often, what would you guys recommend next? Should I finish meteor, concentrate on conscript summons or go for tower upgrades? They seem so minor compared to the two powers..

I prefer to max out meteor first;it is a good offensive spell which is really useful to have available. While better summons is nice I prefer focusing on the towers next, I usually start working on the archer since I'm using those a lot.

But in the end it boils down to your playstyle and if something doesn't work just reset the skill tree and try something else.

Would you say archers are better than mage towers?

Not necessarily, depends on what enemies you are facing and the layout of the map. But since they are cheaper to upgrade I usually focus on those first. Together with your hero, some soldiers as blockers and spells they can usually hold of the first couple of waves while you work on further defence such as a Dwaarp, Necromancer tower or whatever else you wanna use.

I like to max out reinforcements first, the recursive bow does A LOT of damage and can target flying enemies, then I spread points according to how many points I have available and which upgrades looks more useful.

For example, if I want mage 4, but mage 3 looks 'meh' and I don't have enough points for mage 4, I dont get mage 3 for now and spend on something else.

I can vouch for the Reinforcement's bow doing a lot of damage but it is also the most expensive upgrade in the game.

Some other upgrades I go for are the cheaper Archers, the Mage upgrade that gets you a 10% discount on the T4 upgrades powers (such as Twister and Death Rider) and the Barracks upgrade that gets you a larger Rally Point range.

I always go in order: upgrade level 1, then 2, 3... This way I evolve equally. And even I have to put some effort to win some maps, in this way I feel much more challenged and rewarded when I get the 3 stars (or Heroic or Iron).
