Blacksurges and bluegales ignore totem of silence
They will absolutely still disable towers/summon storms even if there's a totem of silence on top of them. Kind of a pain.

I have just figured this out too... Anyone got any good strategies against em? They just waltz on through lol.

If they're on water they can't hide, you absolutely can meteor water, and barracks/artillery mechs will continue attacking even if disabled.

Does totem of silence work on anything? I've seen literally every spellcaster cast a spell or resurrect something a second after having a totem dropped right on their faces at some point. I think it just doesn't do anything at all, no matter what the enemy monster is.

Meteors, Shrine of Regnos and Dwarves' Drill are all great solutions for them.

Drills. Lots of drills. Works against bloodshells too, they're only immune to the regular artillery attack damage.

You can use the the mech and barrack and heroes against blacksurges and bluegales. Totem of weakness still works.

Interesting note; the totem of weakness also reduces enemy damage in addition to the bonus damage the enemies take, which can make stuff hilariously easy.

I do not think this is good idea.
as others have said, turtles are most vulnerable in the water, but if they reach land you want towers that do stuff other than just attacking, meaning barracks (specifically assassins for the armour pierce), mechs or necros

Still, there are easier ways. Plus, drills do not work on the crabs which is stated by the wiki: http://kingdomrushtd.wikia.com/wiki/Bloodshell
