What you both suggest is more of a work around. Like when you can't turn left just turn 3 times right.
Its a bit of a pity. There are things that Bloons 5 does much better and then there's things that KR does better... if only the two had a baby.
It's just a different way of challenging you that you can like or dislike equally. But if such target prioritisation were introduced to KR, the game would need a rebalance and I doubt it would be fun anymore because you would get rid of the micromanagement aspect that makes it unique and challenging in a different way to other games in the genre.
If you don't like that multi-tasking aspect of the game, then maybe it's just not for you. I think most players actually think that is the best part of the game, though. Different strokes for different folks.
KR series is never push their player to the limit. Yes there are few stages demand you to do a micromanage your tower and your unit but the rest of them are pretty casual even on Hard / veteran difficulty.
You know this is remind me of an episode of sequelitis about Castlevania when Arin said:
"for some people this jump is unacceptable BTLRBLRBLRBLRLBRHRBHR" it really fits your description.
Everybody's a critic. I won't say you're wrong, you're just whiny that's all
it feels wrong. Like playing a shooter and not being able to reload your gun, instead having to burn through your entire clip to automatically reload. Like playing a car driving game without a reverse gear forcing you to turn around.
Target priorities are a standard in many TD games. In Kingdom Rush you can tell your ground troops what to attack (sort of) but ranged towers just waste all their shots. They should always prioritize flying enemies and those that have a ranged attack because thats what they're good for.
if you disagree with that then fine thats your case. Its a subjective thing really.
Yes but this is the steam forums. Any criticism will be met with an endless barrage of L2Ps and GITGUDs. Its all they seem to know on here...
Its a good game, but I completely agree that tower targeting can be frustrating.
I mean, I can kind of understand it's absence since this was originally a mobile game, but Jesus it's frustrating to lose something that could have been won if you just at least set some automated priorities.
The player has plenty of resources at their disposal to win the game, but it seems a lot of players don't understand how to use them or simply refuse to change how they play the game because "I should be able to play KR just like any other tower defence". It is not the game's fault that people get frustrated, it's their own fault because they refuse to adapt.
So what response do you expect? Yeah I feel you? I totally get you? I agree with you?
It's not like a major bug nor a fatal glitch. KR still easy even with auto targeting
How to stop sand wraith, healer, and others annoying enemies? Move your heroes! Is that too much to ask?
we have:
1. Alric, who can mano a mano most of the enemies. And summon 3 fast expendable minions
2. Mirage, who somewhat tanky with her evasion. Also a realiable one hit kill
3. Cronan, with his boars and his almost guaranteed one line stun magic
4. Cap blackthrone, with his strong stats and kraken bind
5. Nivus, that can teleport, chain attack. disintegrate and quick cast area magic
6. Diedre, a teleport support, who can tank quite well and heal your army and reinforce
7. Grawl (my fave), who best at choke point, has large area stun and range area attack, not to mention he's really tanky. Slow? well don't move him. He can stall dozens of endless enemies just by standing still
8. Sha'tra, who can abduct enemies with 1000 hp and his normal so high and stable so he can kill caster very quick
9. Ashbite, who can even devour a Saurian brute. if it fails, his attack are so strong and so wide you can put him at choke point
Not to mention the upcoming heroes
What? Still to hard? Try build 80% of your tower disposal as crossbow fort and spam barrage, fill the rest with barrack or necromancer or something
Still can't do it? Follow the video walkthrough, step by step
You see... there are tons and I really mean tons of way to deal the annoying enemies (and im not even mention the blacksurge yet)
So really, if you still complain about auto targeting. I would say you're a whiny
No im not said you're wrong, Im just said you're whiny and I won't agree with you
In before "LOL WAI SO ZERIOUS SON LOLZOLZOL"
uhm ya know an intelligent being would think about making the game harder when a new feature is going to make it too easy. I know that sounds hard to grasp but really.
Moraedon I am already doing all that stuff and it hardly works on casual difficulty. I have then started to grind for more stars by doing iron on all the beginner stages. The harder stages then became well doable.
This is on casual difficulty http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198046747192/screenshots/?appid=458710
All used towers are maxed out with those star skills. Its absurd tbh.
