Mirage is the best ranged DPS for the most maps due to very good range, damage and mobility.
Alric is awesome for stalling dudes and can deal some damage. Most versatile hero.
Boneheart is OP, he's got damage, summons for stalling AND he can move anywhere. Ignores poison, can't be damaged by most enemies.
I like bruxa for some reason too, the noises are cool, and I like all the colors, things she shoots, and skull shots floating around her. Nivus has fun spells to watch.
This advances tower building and upgrading significantly.
This entire game can be beaten without any heroes on the hardest difficulty with proper towers, and since I can get a ton more gold for building/upgrading, I like him more
Blackthorne is fabulous. You can really experiment with a lot of different tower combinations you might not otherwise try. On the original final with the boss that respawns 4 times, I was at over 8K in coin going into the first round, giving me all sorts of options.
Mirage is just fun to watch. When her backstab goes for the kill on a big boss, I'm always happy, well except for those big lumbering dudes that explode when they die, because they typically take her with them. She is pure mayhem. I love how she can clear out a lane of small creeps in no time flat.
Nivus is another one where the animation is just top-notch. All his hits are so unique it's so easy to see when they proc. He is a LOT of fun to play. That teleportation ability can save you bacon!
Talking about taking out a lot of small creeps, Bruxa really excels at doing that and the animation of her floating skulls is something I've really grown to like. I might play her a tad more than the others.
I like Sha' Tra' on maps with a lot of brutes. I'll hang him back to charge up the abduction capability and then waltz him in. Really frustrating when he picks another abductee though!
Grawl is fun to just plant in a lane and let his pounding AOE just pummel everything around. Reminds me a bit of groot ;-)
Alric & Bonehart are OP IMO and kind of boring. They just make the game too easy. Now if they somehow managed to get us some endless in a future update, I'd be all over them because they dish out more damage than just about anything.
I want a beat'em all with them ! Street Kingdom Rush.
