Steel Seed - Feedback and Bug Reporting
Hey there!

Thank you for playing the Steel Seed demo! <3

We see your feedback and are already actively working on optimization and bug fixes! If you want to help us determine the cause of the issues, you can activate a special build on Steam in your library.

1. Right-Click on Steel Seed Demo icon in your Steam Library
2. Choose Properties
3. Navigate to Betas Tab
4. Enter Following Password: Steel2024Seed
5. You're in!

(You can easily switch back and forth between build with logs and without them by simply choosing preferable option in a drop-down menu of Beta Participation).

Next time, if you encounter any bug, please take a moment and share information and logs with us via this Google Form[forms.gle]. It will help us figure out what causes any issues and optimize the game better!

just try this game for 10min or so and i didnt have any wish touche it again . poor performance, broken gameplay

I think its a fun game , it forces you to think and explore the map for a way to progress.
My only issue that i had was it that its kinda hard some times to jump from one block to another . i played the game for about an hour and had 2 crashes in that time.
Thats not a big deal since its a play test and there will be problems.
Ill play it more on stream once it have some patches !!!

I dont understand why theres already so much amateur mistakes.

- CAMERA.
First of all, you talking about "mobile and agility" but your camera has very low FOV, it has irritating slow inertia (WHY???), and you cant see anything in this motion blur (in a "dynamic" game!). Seems like dev making a game in a genres he never played.

The Camera only made me unwishlist this game... cus no hope other stuff will be somewhat playable if the game already has such simple obvious flaws...

- "C" to crouch? When Ctrl is a standart now? Are we still in 2000s ?

- Visual looks like unreal asset flip (imho)

*when switching to windowed mode, the cursor cant go lower half the screen


I was hyped by the concept but demo crushed my hopes 😭

Well, i just wanted to ask one question - why there are "HEAL" button on savepoint, why not autoheal, i really have to heal manually each time i reach this point, isn't it inconvenient ?

In the tutorial prompts, instead of showing the controller button it was showing <input="lightAttack"> things like this...

Please get rid of the insane amounts of mouse smoothing. And let us disable motion blur without lowering all of post processing.

A bit late to the party, but there seemeed to be a bug in the demo in the region where you gain the "heal on looting" ability. I activated both "switches" but the "elevator" never appeared (unlike the videos I have seen). So I could never finish the demo. Reloading the last checkpoint did not help, as the two "switches" were already in their active state, but again without any "elevator" appearing.

We're working on the camera and its settings. It will be better.

Also, there will be more options available to users.

You can rebind the keys and use Ctrl instead of C.

It's not an asset flip - we have experienced 3D artists/modelers and they have been working hard for over 4 years to create the environment.

We'll put your report as a bug in the bugtracker and investigate.

You can also heal Zoe using a button. That was mentioned in the tutorial message after the first fight.

If it wasn't for the description, I wouldn't have guessed that the main character of the game is female. Maybe we should try to make a collaboration with Stellar Blade?))):lunar2020confidentrooster:

I found this demo difficult and unforgiving - the enemies are Elden Ring level difficult, the friendly bot companion is severely underpowered and I died frequently. The time to deactivate the "suicide" enemy which explodes on you unless you hit the button patterns is to short. The game looks gorgeous and runs well. No complaints on the fluidity of controls (I used a duel sense controller)
For starters.....that is the lamest demo I've ever seen. If this is all the game has to offer...I mean, there's no parrying, so you guys are on the right track, but I can't see myself playing this. The enemies are also good. But can we pleeeease take enemy resources simply by running over them. I don't wanna punch corpses at the end of every encounter.

I just finished the demo and I'm now curious about the game, especially about the setting and the story. I think Zoe is quite likeable and I'm looking forward to her backstory. I hope we learn how and why she has a mechanical body and why the world is full of machines now. So far I also enjoyed the gameplay sneak peek the demo offers. And I was positively surprised that a photo mode is already included. Keep up the good work! :steamthumbsup: :lunar2019coolpig:
